One of their better shows. Living The Country Life is a ok too. RFDTV tends to be a little heavy on "horse" shows and country music. I'd like to see more programs about different subjects. Timber and orchard management or maybe chicken and other livestock raising and maybe beekeeping.
What I think would be really informative and well received would be a program which teaches basic rural skills. Stuff that newcomers or people moving back to a rural area might need to learn or even old timers could learn new ways of doing things from. Things like putting up fence, grading a road, raising chickens, the in's and out's of wells, basic butchering, vegetable gardening for home use and market, canning, basic livestock raising and handling, basic tractor maintenance and buying advice, basic homestead maintenance things like how to maintain common power equipment.
I think a program like that would be very popular. Definitely more interesting than yet another horse show or another country music program. BTW what ever possessed them to give don imus of all people a show? Exactly what were they thinking? Were they just hard up for material to fill a timeslot or was it an effort to broaden their appeal beyond rural viewers? What's next? Dr. Dre and Ed Lover doing "Yo! RFDTV Raps"?
