LOL
That brings back memories of when i was a kid.

I stayed with my grandmother most of the time and she always had a HUGE mud puddle in her yard
and we often took sticks and would fish in it with Gramps and ide make the worlds best mud pies! and if you dont believe me, wellll my grandmother would tell you so!
She even saved old pot pie tins for me to play with.

I have this one memory of it raining out and Gram let me put my bathing suit on and get in that mud puddle and play!

Boys those was the good ole days!

Thanks for the memories there TonyE!

LOL! How dumb are the innocent? Thanks for the funny clip Tony!

Mrs. Greeneyes, you fished in the mud, made pies of mud, and wallowed in the mud with great joy... I never would have guessed you were such a dirty girl

Was with my DGD and it was raining. so we had on our boots and rain gear... Walk to the store in their town. For ice cream.... Puddles on the way we just had to play in them.....DIL says don't teach them that..... Well I turned and says why not it's my JOB. Memories..... We still talk about that day... Store is gone now. But next time I get a chance will go puddle jumping.......

We use to make mud pies, cakes etc. Would pull the seeds off of plantain stems and add allkind of other things. Mix up poke berries and paint things...... We did'nt need to sit in front of a tv....

when we started on our addition the first thingwe had to do was level out the ground. Of course it rained after they did this and we had not just a puddle in our yard but a BIG muddy swimming pool! Seriously a 20x40 (or something) mud hole! My kids had an absolute blast! They got old playclothes and played till they were literally ready to drop. I of course took pictures of them and emailed them to everyone titled "Redneck Swimming Pool". One of my sis in laws (who has no kids) Isaid she could never have let them do that.....they'd be dirty. Dh and I just shook our heads and laughed. They still remember that day and will play in any puddle around! And there is absolutely no way to stay dry if you take the kids and dh shopping on a rainy day. They have contests to see who can make the biggest splash out of any water standing in the parking lot......................once in awhile i catch them off guard .

My LSW has never won any of those contest, and it's amazing how easy it is to catch her off-guard. Over the years I have learned to choose my parking lot puddles carefully though. Some days it just wouldn't be worth it.

Now I have a 3 month old DGS and can't wait for him to start to walk. Look out baby!!

Remember, growing old is mandatory. Growing up is optional!
