what is a Tobogan?
Can anyone tell me what you think a tobogan is?
I think it is some thing you slide upon...Hubby thinks you wear one upon your head?
Help me out and tell us what you think a TOBOGAN is.

You're both right. A toboggan is a sled and a type of knit hat like a ski cap.

I've only known it to be a sled, I will have to look up what a toboggan you wear on the head is.
Dee
Noun 1. toboggan - a long narrow sled without runners; boards curve upward in front
sled, sledge, sleigh - a vehicle mounted on runners and pulled by horses or dogs; for transportation over snow
Still looking for the other type.

it's a long slide that one would ride down a shoot. Up to 5 adults and a few kids can get on one. they were made with wood and the front was a half curl. Most tobaggon slides were shut down due to accidents folowing a law suit. Man I use to love being in the front with the wind in my hair and my teeth cold and sliva frozen from laughing and smiling! what fun!!! I know st point wisconsin has a shoot open but it is around $20 to tobbagon there, and you have to prove you have insurance.

A toboggan is a long wooden sled. What you wear on your head while riding on one is referred to as a watch cap or a toooooooK. (tuque)

A toboggan is a kind of sled. A TOQUE is a kind of hat -- is it possible he's confusing the two?

ruby jane, not to be rude, but your posts are always quite hard to understand. Your accent is so thick, it makes my eyeballs hurt.
I guided hunters from Boston and New York City. They all like to slurp down the sauce before day's end, and they had the heavy accent just like the tube shows. LOL! other than that, they were good people
