The lotto fantasy

Last night it was $38,000,000.00, Florida lotto. What would I do with that? First it would be made secure, later to be diversified to investments.

Past associates would have their dreams fulfilled; property, security, ect. The currant need would be one of my three guards to be dispatched to the sausage, gravy, biscuit source to fetch beak fast.

I would hire a critter sitter to see to these animals that are currently my charge. Later in the day I would seek out a more conventional dwelling, one without rodent problems.

Before the day was over I would posses a new 3/4 ton 4WD vehicle, maybe with inadequate bells and whistles but would still be mine, paid in full.

Hundred dollar bills would flow, pasted out as necessary to create a legacy for myself, the drunkenness of wealth would pass by in a couple of days, or maybe a week.

Property would be next, about 100 acres with a suitable dwelling. A Gal Friday would be hired, this description is not going to be discussed but also realize I am beyond involvement age.

But I did not win the lotto, a phone call will be made to the SGB place to see when such is available, after that and my morning nap the world will appear right again.

If I won the lottery, I would first pay off my house and car and would then be debt free. I would see to it that our 2 sons were debt free and set for the rest of their lives. The grandkids would have enough money in accounts to pay for their college education. My Mother who is now 77 would want for nothing for the rest of her life. I would then help families that I see are trying hard to make a living and help them out by helping to pay for their debts and set them up a nice bank account. After I helped the families I already KNEW needed help, I would then SEEK families needing financial help and proceed to help them in the same way. I would visit our local nursing home and I would help the residents in financial need by paying their nursing home bill and buying things for them that would make their lives a little brighter while living there. I would have enough time to do all of this because I would no longer be holding a full time job like I do now. I probably would NOT quit working, tho, because I have worked for the public starting when I was 12 years old and I think I would get bored at home all day. It would probably get boring sitting there counting my money all day...........LOL. This is a dream I'm sure everybody has had. Very few get to realize their dream......but it is nice to dream.

Fantasys can be very entertaining and enjoyable. We all need that from time to time. Do you think a Gal Tuesday might work out in a pinch.

UWiL, if she had waist length black hair, was of Asian background, and was very petite I could discuss this subject a bit further.

I think first thing to do with huge winfall like that is to move to the other side of the world where your picture and address isnt plastered all over the local papers. Bad enough somebody who has never dealt with big bucks suddenly having to come up to speed, but another to also become an instant target for every scammer and hardluck relative out there.

I would like to think some lotto winners out there didnt shoot themselves in foot and actually got some long term good out of their winnings. But I've never heard of any.

Last nites news showed a story of 4 people who won over $5mil..they didn,t know it..The vendor scanned the ticket and told them "nothing"..He then went and cashed in the ticket and lived like a king for a couple yrs till the real winners made enuf stink that that the ontario lottery group finally declared them the winners. They received the $5mil plus almost $800K interest..Good for them. They were working stiffs and the vendor was just a scammer.
This is not the first time ont lottery had awarded full payment to scamming vendors..Bob Edmonds? a senior had his ticket scanned by a vendor and was told "not a winner" only to find that indeed it was winner..He fought Ont Lotto for yrs until public pressure forced the lottery to disclose that it not only lied when dealing with Bob, but had indeed initiated a fullscale coverup to protect their incompetence. Bob contacted the lotto just months after the vendor claimed the ticket and it took yrs to prove he was the winner.

We had another case where a vendors daughter claimed a winner. The vendor said he "found" the ticket. The daughter never told her husband that she won in fears he would take his half and leave her.

Moral of these stories.....

SIGN YOUR TICKET

If I won big bucks, I'd put the winning ticket in a safety deposit box in a bank. Then, I'd quit answering the phone cause I'd discover that I am very popular ! I'd work with knowledgeable people to invest the money well.

Then, I'd pay off our debts and that of our church. My grandkids would be able to get the best education they wish and a few non-relatives would get the same benefits. I'd like two homes, one here and one where January is warm and sunny. Some of my elderly relatives would be taken care of. I'd give to animal shelters.

Then, I'd travel................

I would buy myself a farm, a house for my mom on a lake somewhere close to my farm, New cars and trucks for everyone I love. All the big toys I have always wanted to buy my boys. New wardrobes for everyone in my family. I would also take a trip or too. We can not afford to travel I have always wanted to go to Alaska. I would make some investments and live off the interest and income from the farm. Horses, rabbits cows and maybe some chickens.

pay the house off. put money in retirement accounts for family.

I would hire lots of low paid people to work on my farm, and pay them well, and buy them health insurance

First Id found the CHURCH OF THE BIG RED BOAT with me in charge . Then Id divide the Money into two pots. One to buy as big a boat as I could run forever with the money in the other pot.
Then Id start sailing around the world providing free transportation to good people doing good things.
In stead of a missionary getting on a flight to Africa with two suit cases to last him the rest of his life he can bring His big ol truck loaded with stuff down and put it inboard. If a church was shipping food to the starving they could load truckloads on board FREE.
Same for peace core, teachers etc.
We would just go aroundand around the world picking up and dropping off.

I'd deed our place to someone who was losing their home AND about to be homeless. It's nothing fancy - mobile home on 10 acres.

Then I'd move to Michigan's UP, buy about 40-100 acres, build a small home and a LARGE pole barn for the Sweetie.

And, inspired by an email from a friend who knows someone rich who wants to start a food pantry - I'd do the same. At the entrance to our property I'd build another pole barn with in-floor heat, solar electric, and a small office. The remainder of the building would store food/personal care/cleaning products. I'd have parking for about 25 vehicles and a simple sign out front - food pantry open 8a.m. to noon Monday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, and 8 a.m. to noon Saturday.

I have everyting I want, desire very little else and don't want to take care of a lot of stuff. I'd set up a trust for my three children and five grandchildren. Each would get a small monthly check from the trust instead of any large gifts (cash or otherwise).

One of my son's best friends won the lottery a few years ago. He's in his late 30's, retired, and lives quite frugally except for his nice pickup. I think it was about 4 or 5 million that he won.

No winner last night. Up to $47 million now. Hmmm.....might need to take a drive down to the convenience store..........Hubby always laughs at me when I see the lottery get high and have to buy a ticket. He asks, "Isn't it worth the dollar to win $3 million???"

First thing I would do is get my daddy out of nursing home into a house with around the clock care on land for enough houses for me him the kids all seperate maybe 100 acres pay the taxes up and live off the interest. But before I did any of it I would go away for a month and not tell anyone nothing except to be packed up when I got back or lose out,Paula

I'd buy the farmette I grew up on and lovingly demolish the house and build it back bigger and better. The foundation is crumbling and it's not big enough. I have more kids than my filks did. Then I'd redo the barns. I'd buy the house next door and have that be our guest house. Might even let my brother and his family and their horses move in. My family would not know debt, but they wouldn't know lavish excess, either.

Oh, and it would be worth it to see the looks on my Uncle P. and Aunt B.'s faces when I tell them they ain't getting one skinny dime from me, but I would buy a lake if they would be so kind as to jump in it.

If I won the lottery....I buy a 100 acres of land that has a lake on it, woods and then build the house of my dreams with a wraparound porch, big stone fireplaces, a real cooks kitchen with a huge pantry, but have a wood stove in there as well, and have it made off the grid as much as possible and, I'd have a barn built & get any farm equipment I might need and a garage with all the tools my DH would want to work on cars, I get new cars for all of us and I'd pay cash for all of it.
I'd pay all my daughter's college loans off, pay for college for the rest of them, and then set up a trust for each of the kids that they can't touch until they are 25 yrs old.
I help all the rest of my family, and I'd also try to help some people who are trying to help themselves but just need a helping hand, and I'd also give some money to Kosiar Childrens hospital & Little Sisters of the Poor in Louisville. I'd also like to give money to the police & fire departments for equipment they might need.
With whatever is left, I put it away in a account where we could life off the interest for the rest of our lives.

No one won the Fla lottery last night, so now we can fantasize about $47 million instead! I'd have long weekends with my kids....a different location each time, fly in on a Fri. night and out on Sun. night. At home, I would hire services: maid, lanscaping, pool, cooking, laundry, etc.

I'd get a new Toyota...or two!
