I think Wind In Her Hair already has Cabin Fever, and I doubt she will let you have him.

Not yet; here, it's just gotten cold. Today, in fact, it was warm enough to go out with just a sweater. I generally don't get anxious for the spring till after New Year's.

I too am suffering way too early. I want so badly to be able to sit outside after work! What a HUGE difference it makes! I feel your pain, Big RP. Maybe you can set your troutlines in the laundry tub and pretend?

I actually really love cold weather. I like the slant of the sun and early nightfall. I really like that the sun doesn't wake me up at 5am!! I love taking walks in the snowy forest and coming home to a hot cup of coffee. I don't mind spending some days inside because I accomplish a lot more, but I also don't let the snow stop me from being outside. I especially like winter sports like skiing. No cabin fever here... I can't wait for winter to set in!!

I do similar things. I leave most of my firewood cutting for winter so I have to get outside, then near the end of february I start getting sap tubing ready in the woods.

It is nicer when the sun shines, but rain isn't too bad either although in rainy season my garden can melt. Too much rain and things just sorta turn to slime. Very disheartening. If we get rain for a week, then we get "cabin fever" and go to the other side of the island where it is generally always sunny. During the summer, it is hot nasty and dry, but during the winter (rainy season) it is sunny so we don't mind the hot and dry.

We call it "cottage crazy" in Finland. When it gets so dark out and cold, I do get edgy and need to get out. I get it at summer too though, if I'm stuck at home without a car.

Since we're in GA it's better since I can drive and go all over.
