We went swimming today...

I took my 3 boys (11, 7, and 4) swimming. They played for a while. I got to swim laps for a while. Then the moaning, teasing and aggrevating each other began. So I made them all do water aerobics and get some good exercise in. They moaned a little until I pointed out that if they didn't exercise they wouldn't be getting lunch. Nothing motivates boys like the thought of having to miss a meal.

We also attended a health fare at the Y. I got my free flu shot, free bone density test and a full lipid panel done for $20. My cholesterol was 163, LDL was 97 and the HDL was 41. Need to get my HDL up a bit but everything else was good. Also, need to get some more calcium in my diet for my bones.

The health fare was educational and the boys enjoyed looking at the booths and learning about how much sugar is in some of those kiddie drinks (which we don't drink here). There was also healthy snacks, like build your own yogurt parfait and lots of fresh fruit and bottle water.

Then this afternoon the 3 boys got their flu shots at their doctors office.

Whew I am tired now.
