It is cold here today.

The temps are not supposed to get out of the 50s today. I had to turn the heat on for the first time this fall. I hated to do it but my feet are cold.

I think fall has finally come to central Mississippi. Of course by the first of next week the temps are predicted to be back up in the 70s.

We are getting rain too. It rained most of the day yesterday and today. It's sure needed here.

You poor deluded child, 50 is not cold. -50 is cold but 50 is not LOL!. I think whenever any one of us posts 'hot' or 'cold', we should say 'cold here today in <insert location>. Screen names cannot be relied upon to denote geographic location.

Here in New Mexico the weather is always such a contrast. Today in the sun it is 80, in the shade it is 50. The difference is startling. Everyone at work has their door or window open and it smells like fall.

GORGEOUS DAY!

50 is cold compared to the upper 80s we had here in East Central Mississippi last week and over the weekend. If it gets to -50 here well.....we most likely will never thaw. LOL

About twenty years back the temps got down to -8 or -9 for a few days and we thought "Hades" had frozen over.

I'm a little south of you in MS. I've been outside all day in the drizzling rain burning. We're still trying to clean up some of the mess from Katrina, Fema, loggers and pulp wood haulers. I think we'll be cleaning up from Katrina the rest of our lives. Over the summer, it was just too hot. Now that it's cooled some and rained, we know we'd better take advantage of this time. I love this cool weather!

And I'm a little north of you and it's chilly and drizzly here too. This is my favorite type of weather!

We got to 65 today here in my lil area of southwestern Wyoming, that's pretty derned warm, considering we didn't get higher than 31 on Sunday. We've had lows just below 20 quite a few nights already, and would you believe, we haven't turned on the heat at all yet? I can't believe how well this house stays warm, it's kinda creepy. I hear ya on the feet being cold for sure! Mine get cold no matter what the temp is though.

Our high today was 51 and oh how I love it. I like to snuggle under a blanket when it is cool. I don't like the heat on unless it is really cold.

If she said 'cold here today in MS' as the thread title, I would not have even read the post as I would have known that cold in MS does not equal cold on IL/WI stateline!!

From what dh and friends have told me it's pretty chilly back home (sw texas)...like in the 50's. Can't wait to get home! I love being outdoors when it's cool like that. Here in Guam it's in the 80's during the day and drops to the mid 70's at night!
