Unwanted surprise this am...

ds 2yo has been rather whiny and clingy the last day ot two. I knew he wasn't quite up to snuff. well this morning it hit. At 5am I was woken to him getting sick.....all over me! He cried so hard last night wanting me to hold him that I just put him in bed with us. He's only thrown up once more since then but is going full force the other way. Gotta send dd out for diapers soon. I hate when the kids are sick! The others have all gotten up asked if he's sick and promptly said they're staying away from him today. It may be a LONG weekend for me.....and I'm just praying that dh doesn't get it too!

bless his heart, I hope he gets better soon. I was up all night with strange stomach pains like the ones you get before you throw up. Must be a stomach bug.

Ahhh, poor baby & poor mommy. I hate having my child sick and there being nothing I can really do to help but clean up & be there. I hope he gets better quickly & that no one else gets it!

Oh my gosh, deliver me from that stomach bug! We had about 5 years running where we all got it at least twice a year and felt like we were going to die. About a week ago I got an e-mail saying that a girl in DD's cheer squad puked on the way home from cheer...and several times that night...and I thought OH NO, here we go again! But the only one who got sick was ME. And I wasn't even at cheer practice! Unfair!

Anyway...take care of yourself too! Keep your immunity up and maybe you won't get it. Hope he feels better soon!

Might try making some ginger lemonade - grate about 1 TB fresh ginger into 1 1/2 qts water, let simmer for 10 mins or so. Put about 1/2 c sugar and 1/2 c lemon juice in a 2 qt pitcher, add the ginger water (strain the ginger out if you like), and ice to cool it to a drinkable temp. It doesn't always stop the puking, but it does slow it down.
