Price of piano lessons

The frugal thread got me to think about piano lessons. I pay $80.00 a month for piano lessons for one child. They are 30 minute lessons but usually run 10-15 minutes longer. She is excellent and has a degree from a conservatory.

What do you usually pay for lessons? AND because my son has taken for 8 years, he is thinking about giving lessons to younger children. What would you pay a senior in high school who is very experienced to teach your child?
By very experienced, I mean he knows how to teach piano, and is now teaching a 9 year old for free.

Thanks,

Both of my oldest daughters take lessons once per week $5 each per lesson. Now granted, this lady is our church pianist (80 years old I might add). She says she does it only to pass along her knowledge. She teaches all ages and even has a recital at the church. There is another lady another parish over that teaches for $10 per lesson. I've heard of another lady $20 per week which is about what you're paying. I knew we had a steal of a deal.

I pay $48 a month for one 1/2 hour lesson a week. The teacher is quite young (if she's 16, I'll eat the grass!). My dd likes the young teacher; she said she's not as intimidated. My mother mentioned that her first piano teacher was a teenager down the street.

I pay $25 per 1/2 hour lesson for DGD. She is 6. The teacher is very good, very patient. Its hard to get a 6 year old to focus but he gets good work out of her most times.
