Rain

We finally got some rain - Wednesday evening, Thursday and now it is puckering up again. It is WONDERFUL!! I forgot what thunder sounded like.

Wednesday evening, DH was at church for meetings. He was on his motorcycle and it was raining in town. He called to see if it was raining all the way home - we hadn't had a drop yet. I told DS that DH was coming home in the rain and to get a towel ready. DS was upset that it was raining in town and not at home. He said, "Hey, we prayed for rain but not rain in town. We need rain at our house! " He then proceeded to pray that the Lord would send rain to our house. And now he is absolutely sure that he brought the rain.

I'm happy for you, and for me, too. We got some rain the day before yesterday, yesterday and a sprinkle today. We have a hit and miss chance of more rain over the next few days. I heard some thunder yesterday and my boys and I looked at each other because it had been so long since we heard it. Our county finally lifted the burn ban yesterday and we were finally able to burn some very piled up garbage. I love rain and have been in a better mood the last couple of days just because it finally let loose. At one point when I was on the porch watching and listening to the rain, I was looking at the trees swaying in the breeze and imagining them dancing in ecstasy.

We had an inch and a half Tuesday night. It was wonderful to hear it coming down all night after several weeks of dry. I was finally able to till my fall garden yesterday. :baby04:
