(Humans) Pooping in their neighbor's yard.........
My parents (age 81 and 87) have lived in the same house for 55 years.
They've had the same neighbors for most of that time.
The whole neighborhood is getting older and some of them have begun to die.
As they do, their houses go up for sale.
The place right next door to my folks was bought by a non-caucasian family-----------the first in the neighborhood.
My folks didn't give it a second thought and welcomed the new young family.
Their little boy even calls her 'Granma'.
But then the "problem" began and continues.
Everytime this family has a large gathering (almost every weekend) my mother finds "piles" around her pine trees that line her back yard.
At first she thought it was a few tissues that had blown into her yard.
Imagine her SHOCK when she went to pick up those tissues and found the poop!
She got a shovel and tossed it back into the neighbors yard.
After the "problem" appeared again, she got out her tree trimmers (remember she's 81) and trimmed off several of the lower tree branches so it wouldn't be so easy for the culprits to 'squat' without being seen.
In the daylight hours, the young couple are friendly and neighborly----------but when they have "guests" their one bathroom house apparently is not large enough and the "gentlemen" line up next to the garage to empty their bladders, and a few of them take the short hike to my folks pine trees to take their dump.
It is so disgusting.
Naturally the rest of the neighbors are having a difficult time separating this foul habit from the differnce in skin color of the perpetrators.
I think the folks need to install some "motion" lights.
I'm afrid that a hidden camera would be vandalized.
Suggestions?

Buy some Jack Russell terrier puppies.
Beat them with a picture of a bare botttom until they get real mean.
Tie them to the pine trees at night.

That is so crazy. Maybe a motion sprinkler (the kind that garden centers carry to keep deer away from your garden) would teach them?

I think A motion activated Camera would help. Then they could contact the Local Code enforcement, Or Police dept. Also they might want to Inform the neighbors that they can rent A port A let for the influx of users.. Or the neighbors can come clean the Mess up them selves!

Oh. My. Word. That is revolting. I think I would go put up a fence, or buy a really big dog and tie it out in that area whenever they have a party. ICK.

I'd suggest talking to the new neighbors about thair guest's relieving habits first.
If that doesn't work, then I suppose the law has to step in.
I do like the motion sprinkler idea but the cold water may make the urinator urinate more. Cold water does that.

Time to put some cactus plants under the tree!
I would tell the neighbors that they are putting up with this ----- and they need to clean up their act.
Of course motion lights and sprinklers while you're filming them would be entertaining.

Made me think about our DD come to visit. She asked where the Rest Room was? I told her down the path.Oh I can't use that.Asked her later if she wanted to go up to the Store? Yelp.I get up there pull up to the Gas Pump. She asked where the Rest Room was? I pointed down the path She says what is wrong with you people?? So she squats down between the Pumps and Pickup and goes pee. I know don't make sence to me either

Speak to the family and ask them to use the other side of the house.

I suspect the neighbor on the "other side" wouldn't be too happy!

Well, I have to say that is a first. And despite my very tolerant ways, I would be furious and thoroughly disgusted with this behavior. If they want to poop in their own yard, fine, be my guest, but to have the audacity to poop in someone elses yard? No way!
I go for the motion sensor spotlights (about 10,000,000 candlepower would do it), and maybe hook it up to a PA with some exceedingly loud, obnoxious song from the 1950s (I wonder if there is a song entitled "Go do it in your own backyard" out there somewhere?)
Anyway. Call the cops if you have to!
Yuck. Just yuck.

Someone tell me where the hurl smilie is???
I would be standing guard at the next party and make sure nobody came over. Then again, I would probably have a fence up by now too, just because I would not trust them or the law to make sure it did not happen again. BLECH!

Sounds like a cultural difference. Most immigrants WANT to fit in . I'd bake a pie, bring it over, and GENTLY discuss the problem. I bet that will end it.

I was just thinking, it probably is not necessarily a culture thing as they are doing that in their neighbors yard and not their own.
Must stop thinking about how gross this is.

I wonder if poison ivy grows under evergreens...
Love the motion sensor idea.
Might be a good idea to just post a sign saying that the back of your yard is visited often by the owners, PLEASE DON'T POOP IN IT! I'd hope the poopers would be mortified. And if not, maybe the new neighbors would be mortified that maybe you think it's THEM doing the pooping!

Yes, the best way is the direct way. NO dogs, fences, motion sensors, cameras or other items are necessary.
Talk to the neighbors. Just try that first. I'm always surprised that talk is the last thing that is suggested or thought of when there is a problem.
