China made kitchen wares

I was in the local hardware store today. They carry an extensive line of kitchenware and grilling utensils as well as canning stuff. I have been looking for, of all the silly things, a really good one piece metal meat fork, a medium sized slotted spoon, and one of those spaghetti-getter things that looks like a 'spork' with long tines. I wanted stout, solid steel, one piece utensils. I saw some Oneida ones, looked great, but made in China. Went on and saw some Kitchenaide ones, same thing, made in China. Same thing for Farberware utensils. Some brand X, also made in China. So I gave up and will keep looking. I am even willing to buy at the resale shops if I come across anything that fits the bill to avoid contributing to China's economy any further.

However, I did find two wooden folding clothes racks made in the U.S.A.
