Unhappy Utterly SAD SAD week

Well last Thursday one of my daughters Best Friends Drown. yesterday (Tues) they recovered him from the Lake. It has been such a sad week here and today doesnt seem to be much better.

DD is suppposed to move out on Fri, off to college. But last night after I told her that they did find him ( search and rescue and dive teams from 5 surrounding counties searched for 5 days it was the last day of the search) and that his funeral would probably be Thurs or Fri she just hung her head. I think her moving (1.5 hrs away) from here was what she was holding on for. she cried for 4 days for her friend whom she had been friends with since 6th grade in school and they graduated this year together. He had just enlisted into the Navy.

I have been So sad since all of this has happened Sad for Him sad for my Daughter sad for his family. I too had known the boy since he was 11. he had a hard life and it was just looking up what an utterly sad ending for him

I guess I just needed to talk about it because not talking about it doesnt seem to be helping and my poor daughter is still depressed and moping around bless her heart. thanks all for listening.

I am so sorry. I will be praying for you and all involved. My daughter lost one of her best friends this past may. The morning of graduation they found him dead and still have not given the cause of death. He was healthy and just died. He, too, had had a rough life and had to work all the time in addition to going to school. He was just getting ready in two weeks to leave for the military. Sometimes I don't understand why things happen. I try not to question but God understands that we are human and that we are going to question and does not take offense at it.
Again, I am truly sorry.

I am so very sorry. My heart goes out to you and your daughter. My kids lost a dear friend when they were in high school and I know how hard it is. I hope your daughter's heart heals soon.

I know just how you feel...my daughter also lost her BF, Steve 6 years ago in June in a car accident. He was like a member of the family...I used to tease them that someday they would grow up and realize they were male and female. His dying was devistating to us all but especially my daughter...we still miss him but now we can talk of him and smile at all the great times we had together.

I will be praying for you all.

Keep talking about it with her. Talking really helps.
A school mate of my DD hung herself this summer. Tragic, shocking, sad.
Prayers for all of you.

I'm so sorry. I know what she is going through. I was one of those kids who lost my best friend at the age of 16..killed by a drunk driver who slammed into her while we walked across a street. Please have your daughter talk to someone proffesional soon. In my day we did not have councelors to talk to like kids have now. I had to deal with it on my own and I still carry the pain inside of me. It's crucial that she deals with this grief asap by talking to anyone who will listen.

Oh, Mamahen, it's so hard when your chicks grow through the outrages of life... and there is no greater outrage than the young dying.

I am very sorry for all involved, and pray God gives you His peace in this awful turmoil.
