ebay auction ending at noon, but must read

If you haven't seen this yet, take a couple of minutes to go read. If you are a mom with small children & have had to take them to the grocery store, this will make you laugh.

p.s. If my children EVER acted this way, I would be furious. But it does make for a funny read.

Oh, no! Even though I'm laughing on the inside, tears are streaming down my face! I've been through that so many times it almost hurts to read!

Too funny. Thanks for sharing. I wonder if the bid is so high because of the story behind the cards.

I think they feel sorry for her and want to make her day. Bidding was over $100 at 7:30 am.

That poor, poor woman.

At least she's kept her sense of humor

That was funny, and good to see that she is not letting the children keep the cards.

It will be interesting to see how much she does get for the cards.

That was great! I do have to say, though, that I frequently take 8 kids shopping and they do NOT act that way. On the other hand.......my husband did try to teach the kid shopping cart races, so he DOES act like that. (He stopped as soon as I pointed out that if he kept it up HE could do all the shopping from now on, LOL)

Maybe you need to buckle him into the kiddo seat next time so you can keep an eye on him

cute and painful

I remember the days of 5 kids at the store. No, I don't want to go back to those days. I wish I had been as able to laugh at their antics as the lady in the story! Oh my what a pain it was to go shopping. Maybe someday I will be able to laugh?

Ah, she speaks my language.
I take all 5 with me. But we go often and by now I only get half the "I wants" than we use to. And no cart racing here though, though DH showed them that nifty way of pushing the cart really fast in the parking lot and then 'riding' it to the Suburban. Ah.......yea........not a really good idea unless I wanted the Suburban to have lots of scratches on it. LOL I broke all of them EXCEPT for the 15 year old of that. He STILL insists on doing it. I just place my body between his barreling cart and my precious (you know, my SUBURBAN! LOL). There are things worth dying for people. He is 15 and just a smidge under 6 foot and 190 pounds. I ain't getting him to stop anytime soon.
I am off to read this woman's blog, she is a hoot!
God Bless,
Michele

That was absolutely hilarious! And I can so relate!

I only have 2 kids and, unfortunately, they do act like that.

That's why they almost never go to the store with me. I'd rather get up and go at 3 am than take them with me.

I can take away priviledges, I can threaten, I can beat within an inch of their lives.... (not really).... doesn't make a difference. If I want to avoid a shopping experience like the one on ebay I have 2 choices. I can tie them up (think mummy), gag them and place them in the cart (but then I'd get lots of stares. and maybe arrested), or I can go alone. :baby04:
