After 6 strait days of work...10 hours a day...

I get a day off tomorrow. I'm pooped, as its been a very hectic couple of weeks at work lately---

So tomorrow I get to do all the laundry that's piled up--
I get to clean up storm damage in the garden
Turn and move the compost
plant radishes and pull weeds
clean animal cages
make salsa and can it
make more pickles
clean house and vacuum the dog hair from furniture, polish the wooden furniture,
fix the living room ceiling fan which has stopped working
buy a new curtain rod--the cat broke one chasing flies
bake banana nut bread
and if the weather cooperates, go bike riding to the mill and pick up some ground corn.
Make a big pot of veggie soup.

I forgot to add, I've got to climb up to the roof and patch a leak. Hubby was kind enough to pick me up some roof patch on his dinner break for me. Hopefully the weather cooperates.

So much for taking a day of rest

No way you're gonna get all that done tomorrow without a cape.

I think you are right lol I should give myself a raise?

Actually, Im not sure if I can save the ceiling fan, It wont turn anymore and makes a grinding noise if you turn it on. Might be better off just replacing it...but I thought I'd see if I could get it working.

But isn't it wonderful knowing that what you accomplish this day is just for you?

I give myself huge lists for my days off too! I get more done that way. Even if I only get about half the list done, that's more that if I just promised myself I'd accomplish one thing. That makes up for the 'disorganized days' when I'm lucky if I can get even one thing done!!

I hear you loud and clear on that one! I'd always rather do things myself then ask someone else to do them for me, this is the reason we don't even own a tv, there is always something to do and we never find time to just sit and watch sitcoms...I'd rather keep moving. Its bad enough i have to sit so much at work! everyone here has learned to leave the errands to me, because I love escaping from the desk, and running all over the place. A sedentary job is difficult for me, this is the first job I've ever had that was even close to a desk---I'd rather be timber cruising like I did back in CA, but there isn't a whole lot of Forestry positions around here that open up. In CA, I had an outside job as a licensed forester. I had a crew of all guys, it was funny, they used to tease me a bit since I was so short, they would send me through the underbrush when we were doing measurements because it was easier for me and I had no quelms about doing it. They nick-named me the bush bunny lol!

Wow Nickie, I lived in CA (northern) and moved to Indiana. I wasn't a forester, but come from logging country, and knew most of them. I'm short too. I don't suppose you now work in insurance, do you???

No, I work for a hospital. I grew up in central CA, but went to school and work in Northern CA....I miss the huckleberries the most, and blackberries too.
I usually never bothered taking a lunch with me, I would eat berries all day long on the job lol.
