How's south Texas doing?

Well, this morning there were two counties with twisters, and the tropical storm must be dumping on the Rio Grande about now.

Anybody down there still have internet access to let us know how they're doing?

James, have a hug, pal.

We're half way between Houston and Corpus Christi.

The storm was much overrated. I even sent and email to ABC telling them they were goofy.

We got three inches of rain, some mild wind.

As storms go, this one was a bust.

It's that next one that has me worried.

I hear ya rose..... the next one is the one I'm watching.... I still have very vivid memories of Rita and the following 2-3 weeks of 100+ heat and no power, impossible evacuations, damage, deaths.... etc etc etc...

getting things as ready as I can now.... till then will watch, listen... and pray

We rode out Katrina with trees falling all around us, but this time we have a storm shelter. If we'd had it for Katrina, we'd have had to stay down in it for about 8 hours for the worst to pass. If another Katrina is ever predicted for this area, we'll probably hit the road.
