Wearing footwear Poll

I can't stand wearing anything on my feet, ever. But I must for practical reasons. Just wanted to find out how you all feel about the footwear option.

the kids and I go barefoot all the time - even in light snow if just running in and out. We can walk on rocks, you name it. We keep sandals to slip on if running to town or the snow is too deep.

Dh, on the other hand.........can't walk barefoot on carpet. He wears socks and slippers inside, and socks and shoes outside - no sandals for him.

If I go barefoot to the barn my goats (ouch) and my horse (aaaaugh) seem driven to step on my toes. Also, the thought of stepping in free-range chicken poop barefoot does not excite me. However, going inside and stepping out of my shoes and onto my cold cement floor while getting a cold drink is like a little bit of heaven

I wear shoes in the goat pens, chicken runs, church and anywhere that I absolutely have to. Me and the kids are barefoot so often that it is not uncommon for us to get to town and realize one of us isn't wearing shoes. Drives DH nuts, especially since one time he had to go in and buy me some cuz we were gonna be out all day and too far to go back home!! The lady teased him asking, "Would you like those in a bag or will you wear them out?". She was kidding....I hope!

I'm always barefoot indoors. I wear clogs outside when working around the house, but other than that it's dress up shoes- unless I'm hiking or jogging.

I have very flat feet so I have to wear arch supports all the time - even in my slippers. Going barefoot is torture for me!

I don't like to go barefoot. I have very tender feet. Going barefoot is painful! I don't have a lot of shoes though: 1 pair sandals (Crocs), 1 pair of boots, 2 pair of sneakers, and 1 pair of casual brown suede slip-ons. NO DRESS SHOES!

I don't fit in any of the above categories! I only have dress shoes and two pairs of work shoes! But I get them on in the morning when I first get up, and they don't come off until bedtime. Of course I'm rarely in the house anyway. But I don't think I'd be able to do anything without them, since I get into all sorts of things all day long. Now if all I had to do was just loaf around the yard, well....

I hate sandals and I don't like going barefoot, even though I grew up that way! I wear houseshoes in the house, hiking boots in winter and cloth tennis shoes in summer. My dress up shoes are my Skecher tennis shoes!

I think high heels are a torture device.

If they're not slip-ons I don't wear them. I NEVER wear shoes in the house.

I
Hate
Shoes!

I wear them because if I don't my knees hurt, and because I get more work done. I have a pair of sneakers, a pair of black slip-on-sorta-dressy-all-purpose-shoes, and some sandal things I don't wear much (they don't go with anything). I have some work-boot things for winter if I have to shovel, but only for then.

Oh yeah... I do own a pair of heels for just-in-case I have to go somewhere REALLY dressy - like one of DH's work functions or something. They go really well with my one dressy not-house dress.

Mom says one of her least-favorite activities when i was a kid was taking me shoe-shopping. I hated all shoes, except for mary-janes or sneakers. Guess not much has changed!

I love going barefoot, but it is not practical most of the time. Livestock and toes don't mix, so most of the time I have boots on. In high summer, I will wear sandles alot and rinse them after a barn trip.

If my hubby has feet, I've never seen them, I think he wears socks in the shower....

Unless he's showering or sleeping, he has cowboy boots on.

Haha!!

THAT subject is a source of NEVER ending amusement around here!

And it's ME they are laughing at.

I NEVER wear shoes unless I have to. I do wear some cheapo slip on sandals when I go outside because of free ranging animals, but I take them off on the deck when I come back. So, therefore my feet might get a little dirty....

If I have to wear boots, I take them off ASAP and limp around in pain for a day or two. Same thing with my nicer sandals. EVERY kind of shoe causes pain so I just dont wear them.

I go barefoot in the house all the time but wear crocs when I go outside. I will wear shoes in the laundry room from now on.

If I am told that I have to wear dress shoes to attend some fancy spancy event I will stay home.

barefoot house (though in cold weather on hard floors my feet ache without slippers) foot protection- leary of hookworms snakes animal poo splinters and thorns outside- 90% of time outside. Though no Imelda Marcos I actually once had 'one of every color' of a style or two of shoes I realised I loved before they stopped making them- sadly my shoe size went up 1/2 having babies but can still wear/have stretched out the half dozen or so remaining pairs of that lot of shoes owned now for 20 years. As a kid I was barefoot all the time- toughened my feet up on SD gravel roads in summer- but got a lot of glass cuts in urban Pittsburgh. Now more careful of my feet.
