A Bit of Nostalgia

mrs oz here

Oz and I have been sitting here listening to The Carpenter's and John Denver. We're finding our fav's on YouTube and playing them. Wow! Been a long time since we've heard these. John Denver can still make me get a bit misty eyed.

I like John Denver, too. His songs were so down home.
My folks were from NC. Very lovely part of the country. They were from around the Charlotte area, in a little town called MT. Pleasant. I have been there and to Kannapolis, Concord, Gold Hill, etc. I still have relatives there.

We then moved on to Johnny Cash, Glenn Campbell, Allison Krauss.......we've had a good ole time.

And yes Moopups, believe it or not, Oz does have ears!

Bizarre timing....I rarely think of John Denver, but had "Leaving on a Jet Plane" running through my mind yesterday. "Bags are packed, I'm ready to go..."
