Really tough week.....need prayers
This week has been the worst in awhile! Lets see....if starts at the beginning of the week we had to put up for sale several of our things (things that we really didn't want to sell) so we could pay some bills. NOTHING we sold did we get even remotely close to what we paid for it or what we needed to get out of it to make ends meet!
Then on Thursday about 1:30am we found out that my DH's grandma had died! Very unexpected for us and has been very very hard on my DH and his dad. VERY HARD. I have been going thru spells of being okay and then I will just completly break down crying.
Then today we came home from church and found that one of our dogs had gotten out of the yard and had killed almost all my big chickens, several of my little chickens, and two of my turkeys!! Like I said this week had been horrible!
I am just really tired right now.....my spirit is just drained. I know I should be rejoices because Grandma is in heaven with her husband that she lost 23 yrs ago and seeing her Lord and Savior face to face. But I just can't find it in me to be grateful.
Our finances are about to fall apart, the house is a horrible mess since we have been in and out all week, I have lost several dollars worth of livestock, and I feel like I am just about to fall apart. DH and I were having marital problems before all of this so this really doesn't help. I could just really use some prayers right now.....so I don't become a complete mess. I have little children counting on me....I have to make it thru all of this!!
Your prayers would be greatly appreciated.

Prayers are sent up for you, God bless your heart. I sympathize greatly with your situation. Sometimes it pours trouble, doesn't it. But God is listening, and He knows your heart, He knows you're happy that your husband's grandmother is with God and all her loved ones, and He knows you are having so many troubles that it's hard for you to feel happiness for her. God understands, and He never gives us more than we can bear. Sometimes it seems that we absolutely cannot take a single straw more, but when it happens, we find we CAN bear it, through God who makes all things possible. Maybe you and your husband can come closer through the loss of his grandmother. Just offer him love and understanding, lots of hugs and kisses, and see if he would like to pray with you. God is watching, He's not going to let you fall.
I lost some of my chickens today, too. I don't know if raccoons got them or if they simply wandered off, Silkies that I was really happy to have are just gone. They were able to squeeze through the 2x4" welded wire and would roam the yard. I am hoping they find their way home.
Again, prayers are offered up for you and your family.

Awww, bless your heart. I had a couple of bad weeks recently too. I will pray for y'all. I found that this verse helped me to hang on. I love the verses with promises!
For I know the plans I have for you"' declared the Lord, "Plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you home and a future"
Jeremiah 29:11
Hope this helps.
God bless you and yours
Deb

May you find just a little rest and peace today. God will carry you through, as I can see you have a strong faith. Just keep praying under your breath.
And I will be praying for you too. I am so sorry for the loss of your husband's grandmother.

Good luck on the future. Hope you can find a moment of peace for yourself, maybe with a cup of tea to sooth and refresh you. May next week be truely better for you.

Doesn't it just seem like life gangs up on you occasionally?? Whacks you and then spits on you when you are down.
Hang in there. It will cycle up again.

Call your Pastor or your Sunday School teacher and have them either visit with you or pray with you right on the phone. You need a special touch from someone who can keep in touch with you during this difficult time. My sympathy to you and your family.
Remember God never lets more happen to us than we can bear. I know that may be hard to understand right now, but keep holding on to the Lord. He will give you the strength and all that you need to hold on. I whispered a prayer for you.
Hugs,
Joyce

I am so sorry for all of your troubles. I have read that God doesn't give you more each day than you can bear, but as the old saying goes, it seems like sometimes several days hit all at once. When I am going through tough times I usually think just do the next thing and that helps.

You know the saying "when it rains it pours" well not around here.....it FLOODS!!
I forgot to mention that my start to last week was actually taking my DS to the ER because he was running a really high fever (some of you may have read that thread). He ended up having strep throat. Then everything else happened last week that I mentioned above.
Well, this morning my DD woke up with a horrible rash. All over her chest and belly and all over her back. Called DR and they got her in today, said they really wanted to check it to make sure everything was okay. Well, guess what! Now she has strep!! I guess it is called a Strep rash and some people get it when the have strep. So back to the store for more meds we went. Of coarse the little stinkers talked me into a new movie that the little sicklies can sit a watch. (Good note here....we bought Beethoven on DVD, it has all 5 movies on it for only $20. I didn't think that was a bad buy even though we didn't have the money. Hey what can I say ....I am a sucker when my kids are sick.)
Then to top all that off. The lady that bought our van that we sold for WAY less then what we were needing to called today to complain that something wasn't right on the aircondtioner and what we were going to do!! URGH!
Oh! And I discovered yesterday that all 3 of my incubators misteriously got unplugged and all of them were down in the 60-70 degree range! They were due to hatch THIS WEEK!!
LORD PLEASE HELP ME KEEP MY SANITY!
Thank you for all the loving thoughts and prayers. They really mean a lot to me. You guys are the closest thing I have to friends right now. You really do brighten my day. Thanks again.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. I'm so sorry to hear of your loss, and about all the other things that are happening now. Sometimes it seems that things go wrong all the time, but try and remember that what doesn't kill us makes us strong. Sending you a (((((Hug)))) from Kentucky.

Girl, I feel you. I am still there. So know you don't have the patent. I was having a particularly bad day a couple of weeks ago and I sat down and read the Book of Job. It really helped. I'm praying for you. What don't kill you, will make you stronger. Watch out Hulk.
