S. IN/N. KY OK all together now PRAY for RAIN!
I just finished fertilizing the garden because there is a 40% chance of rain today and Saturday. The clouds are gathering but they look like they are headed north to Paoli, Vincencess and other counties. The thunder in making noise now, but the weather radar shows no rain.
I will continue to pray this morning every time in comes to mind. Please pray with me. The Lord the rain maker will provide food either via rain or some other way.
I've been reading Richard J. Foster's Freedom of Simplicity he talks about the Fransicans practice of not eating, relling on God totally. Not eating forces us to focus on God. If there is no food there is no preperation time, no clean up time, no time spent eating--more time for thankfulness, prayer and meditation. Now with a family this is a bit extream, I couldn't inflict this practice on them. However, the lack of rain has focused me to depend on God's provision and made me more aware. I still plan, I still water, but because I have to let the sky take care of 90% of the water (manual watering is difficult because of our set-up---our next home I'll think more permeculture) for the garden I'm more dependant on God and more thankful.
PTL-there are little drops falling from the sky as I write!

Thank You Lord. Thank You Folks who are Praying. We had about a 1/2 rain that came down pretty good. I think it will be a provisional rain. Causing us not to have our plants totally dry up. It might get some more. They weather guy says the big one might come next week (weather channel says 60% chance).
OK everyone in TX and FL blow real hard to the North. The Ohio river valley needs your rain. Prayers for you-all in the South. You do not need it.

We are a bit south east of paoli... we got an okay rain this morning. Praying for more. We put out more seeds last night in anticipation! We have been watering as best we can. The corn farms around here is looking so-so, but the soybeans are terrible! Hay is pricey and scarce. Everyone keep praying!

The 2 storms yesterday and day before were just a tiny sprinkling here, still dusty a couple hours later.....I was working outside all day today in clouds of dust.
....but THIS EVENING we FINIALLY got some decent rain!! The ground even has puddles now, oh boy oh boy oh boy. The first big storm went over us, but the second, it started raining good....more on the way tonight. THANK YOU for praying everyone. I am still praying for all of you. We went 7 weeks with no good rainfalls here. Thank you Jesus for the rain!! I pray you all get some too.

Well...
SE Ky is dry as toast. We got a couple of "dust settlers" this week, but no really good rain.

Oh, I really pray you get some over there. Kentucky is usually so beautiful all spring, summer and fall. It's just not normal to see it so dry here.

We still need more rain in KY. The pastures look pitiful and our hay guy hasn't even gotten a second cutting yet. That's a more than a little scary with six horses.
We must be relatively close to you, Cindy . We're just north of Bardstown.

You are about an hour NE from us. We have mini's, ponys & 1 riding gelding, plus a few sheep & goats. I think this rain has broken the "drought feeds drought" thing here at least and now maybe it will rain a couple times a week like normal. Our grass will start back up now. Maybe it was enough to save the corn crops all around.
It is still raining here this morning. Keep praying..

We're in Southern Indiana and joyfully admiring a slow, soakin' rainy Sunday morn after a rainy Saturday night as well--whoohoo! I don't know the exact amounts or anything, but this should definitely help things to perk up out there.
