Took my old cat to vet today-gonna be fine-rubber band on tongue

She has been drooling and woud nt let me look in her mouth . Even though she had been eating she was looking bad . she had a rubber band wrapped around her tongue and the vet will take it off tommorow and she will be fine. How did she ever get a rubber band around her toungue. This will blow my budget for the month but she is 12 years old and I found her starving in the yard and she has been the matrarch of the animals here ever since. I just wanted yall to be aware of this if it ever happens at your house, Nancy

I just pulled a chicken bone out of the throat of my special needs kitty yesterday. I don't know how she got the bone. She did this once before and it cost me $186.00 for the vet to sedate her to get it out. These darned animals. They aren't worth a plug nickel, but I wouldn't take a million dollars for them.

My cat Blue loves rubber bands and we have banned them from the house. Yet what did I catch him with the other day???? A rubber band, that he had worked off a box of all things. He also eats string and ribbon!

My cats want to play all the time with my hair ties. I have to be very careful with them. Silly creatures! I'm glad you found out what was wrong and your old girl will be ok. She's not THAT old, we have a senile old cat that is 16 this year. He's doing fine, but sort of forgets what he's doing at times.
