When I was in college I think I coined the term "I get really inspiried by the last minute".

When you look "procrastinator" up in the dictionary, you see my picture.

Yes, most definitely. I always put things off until the last minute. It just seems so " not normal" otherwise!

I have undiagnosed OCD and perfectionism....then anxiety on top of that

SOOOOOO what that means is that getting it perfect gives me alot of anxiety so I put it off and then the deadline looms and I have to get it done and then it isnt perfect but that is because I 'didnt allow enough time to do it properly'

I have strict rules in my head of how it should be and since life gives lemons, it is never how I think it should be....

I am also one of those "dont like my food to touch" and "eat all of one thing before moving on to the next"....psychologists say that both of these are signs of either anorexia (if you saw me then you would know this isnt the case) or Obsessive Compulsive Disorder

I posted some photos earlier today....do you think I did anything about it? no...not until I read some of the responses (that I know were just trying to be helpful) that *to me* sounded critical....so it took me about 30 minutes to fix the worst of it....well the horzontal surfaces and the out of the way spots need tending to

Rachel <-who will not stress cause she just ended a sent. with a preposition!!! *hehehe* I will fix it later--NOT

I've been diagnosed with OCD, anxiety, and "perfectionist tendencies".

Like you, I tend to not get things done perfectly partly because of not giving myself enough time, but largely because I get pulled in too many different directions and can't do it ALL. Instead of doing a few things perfectly, I do a lot of things imperfectly.

Yes, and no. There are things that bear thinking about before doing, especially unpleasant things like having an argument with your ISP or the bank, or tidying up my 'business' drawer.

Once I've made up my mind, however, it must be done YESTERDAY! Delays are frustrating and irritating.

I did! I rarely do that. I like to get things over and done with so I can enjoy my free time.

I want to second the one who said that Procrastination can be a symptom of more serious things. I thought I was just lazy, and spent a lot of years going through an odd cycle of two weeks on and two weeks off - getting everything doen for 2 weeks, then getting overwhelmed with everything and avoiding everything for two weeks. When my brain started becoming so overwhelmed I couldn't control my guilty thought processes anymore I realized it was time to get help.
The doctor put me on lexapro last week for anxiety & depression. I am hoping that though it will take awhile for this to all sort out, that it will help so I can stop pressuring myself and be more...evened out, I guess.
