A parenting sigh of contentment

Do you ever have those moments where it all seems to come together and you just breathe a sigh of parental contentment? We've been through the wringer lately with the oldest as he fought through some personal battles stemming from some abuse in his orphanage life. He has come though shining, literally. He has such a peace about him lately that it is just great to be around him where it has been painful in past months.

Today he and the other two and a bunch of friends are out running around having a squirt-gun war. I shouldn't call it war because they are having so much fun. I haven't detected any "side taking" in the last few hours. They have all been so cooperative and all seem to be having a blast. It is one of those parental contentment moments and I just felt like it needed to be shared

I know EXACTLY what you mean. It feels good. Makes it all worth it.

For me it's when they play music together- older teaching younger her piano, or their Dad teaching them guitar. Beautiful music and family togetherness. Aaaah.
