Unhappy I fractured my leg!!!!

just one of the many frustrations of late.....things have been so hectic the last two weeks and I don't do well with hectic,.......all of my saanen adults have been passing around eye infections, the young buck I bought at auction died from some kind of stomache virus wich all of my adults (except my nubian billy) and one of my saanen kids are now batteling.....my husband is out of work due to carpal tunnel surgery,my rabbits chewed their way out of their pen, one of my hens killed one of my roosters, my potbelly babies keep escaping and I have a fox on the prowl, my goats are chewing through my septic electric line so I have to move my fence lines, had a duckling drowned in a 5 gallon water bucket, my daughter is running for our town parade princess so i am suppose to be helping her sell tickets and havent found time for that yet, my 400 strawberry starters and rasberry bushes and fruit trees came a month before they were due so i had to plant them in any thing i could find, their was an animal swap today so we have been getting ready for it for a while, while unloading the trailer to free it up for use at the swap i lifted it up off the ball hitch and told the person in the truck to go on so i could put it down, only to relize too late that it was still attatched with a chain wich pulled me down under the truck and in a crazy occurance caused me to drop the hitch right down on my leg, thank god they heard my screams and stopped, laying under that truck with a trailor crushing my leg was one of the physically scariest and most painful moments i can ever remember, i didnt even relize i was screaming till my ears started ringing and i became conciouse of people around me trying to lift the weight off of me, now one of my milkers has sores bursting on her udder and my oldest doe is going blind and refusing to eat, I am soooo tiered right now, i'm sorry if i sound like a whiner, but i just had to let it out to someone. how much worse could things get in two weeks?yes we are all surviving, this has to come to an end soon.

Wow, you have my sympathies with all those challenges and your injury.

Take a deep breath, and prioritize, do what HAS to be done, make a note of what NEEDS to be done soon, and just make a list of the other stuff and file it in the to be done when I heal up and have time pile.

Granted I don't have a lot to go on, but I am thinking you may have overloaded yourself with all these plants, animals, etc? Maybe time to cut back a bit, especially until you heal up......

You must be an exceptionally strong person for The Source to issue all the challenges at the same time. My worst problem here is the Boer goat girl gets out too often, she graduated from the Houdini Mythical Arts University apparently.

If I lived closer dear, I would bring a casserole and work all day. I think we all would. Keep us posted and we sure are sorry.

You have every right to whine, although I don't think anyone here would call it whining. I would be in the nut house if I were in your situation. I wish I was closer too, but am quite a few states away. Can you get help from a family member or some teens after school? Bless you, I can't imagine...

But things will get better soon, no doubt. Take care of yourself!

I won't utter those words..... last time I did, I found out quick that things can get ugly fast, and keep getting uglier.

"whatever doesn't kill us makes us stronger".... so you should be one tough hombre (was wondering what the female word for hombre is) after all of this is over.

Ombrea transulates to Ombretta, for the female form of the word, spelling may be off a bit. Hey, I treat Spanish as they treat English. Sound kinda balanced to me.

Wow! Today you need to call, your church, neighbors, local 4H, anyone who can help you out with the animals while you recover. Even call your vet and see if they can recommend anyone. Then get your kids (children kids ) to start planting plants for you and making any repairs they can handle. Between you and dh they should have enough supervision and if it needs redone later when you are well, then you can worry about it.

Then take a pain killer, your Dr did give you pain killers right? And take a much needed and deserved NAP!

I can totally sympathize, as I was right in that situation this time last year. What did you break in your leg? Are you in a cast or immobilizer, how long will you be off of the leg?

I had the worst possible break to the knee you can have. I had to put NO weight on it for 8 weeks. Then months of therapy.

Here's hoping you have some good people around you who can help in your time of need. I found out I was blessed that way.

Thank you all for your support, i got some new meds for goats, doc says it should clear them up real quick, figured out how to finagle my way to the milk stall and fumble through the milking with the help of my mother, my mother also took care of making the posters for dd ticket sales for princess candidacy, she is also taking on picking up and dropping off kids with me, i thank the gods for her every day, i dont know what i would do with out her, but im sure im either gonna cause her a nervouse break down or run her right into an early grave with as much as i depend on her...... kids have stepped up to the plate and are handeling feeding, watering, and haying, as well as some of the house work, and im still of course doing as much on my own as possible, i cant be still with so much to do, in fact tomorrow i am going to plant my behind on the ground and start digging holes and planting trees and berries, it wont look uniform , in fact im sure it will be quite messy, but at least it will be done, and i will be relieved with that. again thank you all for your concern, your support is always uplifting, that is why i come to you first
(oh yeah it is an immobilizer randB)
