Where do you get your news?

So I have been getting increasingly frustrated with my news provider foxnews .com They usually have a lot of content and good world news; however, they also seem to enjoy having inappropriate pictures dotted through out the page. I am very tired of looking at the news first thing in the morning (actually anytime of the day) and seeing these images. The final straw for me was last night when they felt that Playboy's pick for playmate of the year was headline news! Nice big picture and story for their top, most important story!!

Unfortunately I have been unable to find another good news provider.

I also don't get The Oregonian (the news paper) anymore because they support the strip clubs and supported a law that allows under age girls in strip clubs if they are the strippers and in live sex shows as long as they are having only having sex with another girl!! <sigh>

So Help! Please. Where do you guys get your news?

I usually fgo to freerepublic.com or to drudge. They seem to have the news faster than MSM.

Foxnews.com
Drudgereport.com
Yahoo.com
Intellicast.com for the weather. Type in your zip code and the weather pops up with no annoying meteorologist speaking.

and I get the local paper (town of about 25,000). I could care less what happens in Baton Rouge and New Orleans so I don't even watch the 5, 6, or 10 oclock news anymore.

I don't get my "news" from the internet, I listen, pretty much all day, to my local NPR radio station, which in my area is Wisconsin Public Radio.

news

I just shop around from channel to channel or look on the Internet. Then I can read what I want and not have to look/hear all of things I don't find appropriate.

Yesterday, I was in the car with my son and heard the opening to Sean Hanity's radio show. I was appalled! I didn't think there was much of Christian vaules in the opening. I turned it off.

I wonder just how much of it is truth anyway.

I look at the DrudgeReport and CNN's website.

NPR radio is an excellent source. Out here we can't really pick it up, though.

My son. He usually calls me to tell me all the news. He's been a news fanatic since he was four-years-old (he's 25 now).

Usually here in General Chat. Anything worth reading, is usually commented on over there, and then I dig deeper if it is of interest to me personally.

I used to read and watch news 24/7...but it seems to just make me angry, so I quit.
