Wisconsin Homesteaders

At the last Wisconsin gathering, we offered to host the 2007 get together. we do have water, electric, and a porta potty available for anyone wanting to camp overnight. Any thoughts on when folks are free to do this?

Hey, maybe if you plan this for western Wisconsin some of us Minnesotans might just show up.

We are in the stateline area, between Beloit and Janesville, a little area outside of Afton. It is really easy access from I-90. Because we are so far south we are offering overnight/weekend camping.

I grew up in Northern Wisc. and can attest to the fact that Minnesota and Wisconsin are indeed one homogeneous state. So, I bet some Minne-sotan's will come.

Wish I were still in the general area. I'd come.

I'll come if I can. I just found out an elderly cousin has cancer, so I may end up helping her out this summer instead. Sounds like fun, that's for sure!

Well, I'd love to attend... Just so long as it isn't the same weekend as Muller's Gathering in June.

We'd love to come too, but as Pony mentioned, ours is June 23-24.

We would not dream of having it the same weekend as Cyndi and Paul, shoot, then I would not be able to go to theirs! A weekend is probably best , especially for those traveling and staying overnight.

We would love to meet some like-minded people in Wi!!! We're in NW and could find I-90 in Eau Claire. Let us know when it is! I love to cook for crowds, Can I bring anything?!! (I make a mean potato salad!)

I'm sorry! I did not mean to imply that you would do it the same weekend!

What time would work best for you guys? Are you thinking closer to harvest, or July/August?

We'll need ample time to line up someone to milk and chore the animals if we want to plan on being gone overnight. We should be able to make a day trip out of it, but then it's so hard to leave at night!!

Pony, you silly thing! I did not even think you meant it that way. I was just saying in a round-about way that I plan on being at Mullers too. Last year we all met a beautiful park and each brought a dish to pass. It worked out really well. If we can decide on a weekend and get an approximate headcount we should be all set to go. How does everybody feel about July 21 or 28?

Pony & I were just talking about this. We're waiting to hear a date. We're pretty booked on the weekends this month and June. Graduations, gardens, weddings.
