Last night we turned it on for about 20 minutes because of the mugginess. I will not turn on again til absolutely necessary! I hate the hot weather but I hate the electric bill even more!

Yesterday, DH put the screen in the back door and left the door open for a couple hours. I guess spring is here as well (got up to about 55)!!

We've resisted turning it on so far, but it's just a matter of time. It seems that once it comes on, it doesn't go back off till sometime in October or November.

HUbby turned ours on today too. I had to go around and close all the windows. I much prefer open windows with a nice breeze blowing in to air conditioning, but it was getting really stuffy upstairs.

Thank goodness no air needed here until around the end of July through August and sometimes Sept.

We will be turning off the heat in a week or so.

What? Are you bragging or what? All I have to say is that if you are turning your a/c on in March, you have no idea what "real winter" is all about; I'm not sure what there is to hate about it where you are!

Come visit me in Canada around early February or so, I can show you what there REALLY is to hate about winter! hehehehe Here the home a/c's come on from maybe July to early September. But a lot of people don't have a/c in their house; after a monthly bill of $450+ or so for heating oil in winter, they're playing bill "catch-up" all summer (or are on equal billing which gouges you just the same).

But all the same, you can keep your humidity down there!

I have a rule that it doesn't get turned on until the mercury hits the 90 mark. We have had doors and windows open for a few days.

I'm like HappyCat, although not at all happy with the weather. Too cold here, not to mention soggy, damp, wet and windy. I wanna go where it's warm!

La.. la.. laa... my hands are over my ears and my eyes are closed... la..la..la I can't hear you and did not read this post la..la..la...

DixyDoodle - I heard you...la..la..la. Kesoaps, PinkCarnation and happycat I hear you just fine...la.. la.. la.. but the rest I can't hear (ignore, ignore, ignore) - we got about 6" of very wet heavy snow today, still got the wood fire going.

Enjoy your nice weather, people, AC or not.

Oh, I'm so ready for spring!
