Prayer needed for our new Church Service.

Our Church is starting a new and alternative worship service. It's aimed at folks ages 20-40 who may not have that much experiece with "Church" and those who want to ignite their faith.

The Service starts TONIGHT!! It runs from 5:05 CST for 55 minutes. If you could say a prayer that this service takes off and reaches those who need to be reached, I'd greatly appreciate it.

How did it go?

the nontraditional services are what kept our older teens in church....

IT WENT GREAT!!!!

Of course the true test will be next week when we see how many come back!

I was one of the ushers who have actually ushered before. Our Sunday Morning contemporary service usually has 230 folks in it and tonight we had 212!!!!! We were praying for 100 to show up, so this is FANTASTIC!!!


Our preacher wore jeans tonight. We showed 2 short movie clips. We had coffee and cookies before and after...and since the service is help in the fellowship center, so it's possible to get up and grab a cookie during the sermon!

Other than a few glitches like no programs (yes, you do need them so we who are 'working' it know what's going on!) it was GREAT!!


Unfortunately they don't have a "Sunday School" so I have to take the kids back tomorrow morning. But they're working on it and hopefully soon that will start, too.

That is terrific Tonya. I so miss going to church. I have yet to find one here that I can feel comfortable at.
