Was Your Day Productive?

I was going to title this "One More Brag..." and continue by saying, "...and then I'll shut up." But I thought I'd make it more open, more about other people besides myself as well. See? I'm learning.

But I'm bragging now because...remember my thread about time management and the spiral notebook? I got EVERYTHING ON MY LIST done today!!!!!

1. Cookie trades (other GS troops doing last minute trades..."I'll give you two Thin Mints for two Lemonades...") to clear out our leftovers and finish the sale for the year!
2. Laundry (ALL of it, all washed and put away...except that the kids' clothes are still in their baskets, waiting)
3. Started the last of my tomato seeds (should be 45 plants total, yikes -- I intend to sell or give some away)
4. Cleaned out my car
5. Made a payment toward my pool, which is on layaway
6. Cut out my jar quilt fabrics for Tallpines' swap
7. Finished a small project for a client
8. Tidied up my house, as usual
9. Took 14 bags of old clothing and other items to Goodwill
10. Wiped down the washer & dryer, which were really grungy

All that junk was piled in my laundry room/bathroom for MONTHS. Now I can get to the sink again. Now I can use the closet again -- stashed all of our sleeping bags in there instead of in a corner of the family room. That laundry room/bath was horrible, and now it seems so spacious!

We skipped DD's gymnastics practice tonight -- she just needed a mental health break, you know? After dinner the kids and I went out for ice cream at the neighborhood dairy bar, then took a leisurely stroll around the historic part of town. It was wonderful!

YES, the most productive day I've had in months! How was yours?

I composted leaves without shredding them first, so they looked like black leaves and were not the right consistency for amending soil. Ran them through the lawn mower and amended some soil. Mowed the lawn. Went to an aquarobics class. Cooked dinner on the barbeque.

Not extraordinary, but productive nonetheless

Yes, very productive.

Dennis and I started our own business a couple weeks ago. We do accounting, tax prep, mortgage loan processing and underwriting and debt collections. Whew!!

Anyway, our first home purchase loan is closing tomorrow and we have a big debt collection we are handling for a large firm that will be resolved without going to court!

Our brains are tired, but we just had to sit up and celebrate a bit.

I am still hanging cabinets. I taped and am almost done painting my master bedroom. I took a ride on my friends horse. Got an appointment taken care of.

Yesterday I packed the room that I'm painting. Helped hubby edge the driveway and then pick up the edgings from the driveway. Hung some cabinets and finished epoxying the rest. Helped hubby (with the kids) to wash both vehicles (a suburban and a truck so they take a while to do!) and cleaned the windows inside and out. And put up a few new rails on the fenceline.

Not a bad week at all!

Was Your Day Productive? - Countryside Families Edayna...How funny! I was thinking of starting the same kind of thread! Is it a full moon or something? I got SO MUCH DONE TODAY!!! :banana02:

I cleaned up my filthy kitchen. I even cleaned out the refrigerator and a couple of drawers and cabinets. I threw out boxes of stuff.

I did the laundry--it too had been piling up. Everything in the house is clean and folded and put away! And I threw out some of my old crappy clothes--again.

And I sorted out and cleaned my back room--you know, that kind of room where you pitch everything in there. And I have some boxes for the Goodwill.

I also got a whole lot of things ready for starting to sell on eBay and for my antique booth. I didn't get it taken down there today...but I will tomorrow. I've been procrastinating on these antiques for 5 years. (I hate to admit that.)

I'M BRAGGING TOO. We did good! Doesn't this feel great to see wide open spaces in your house? Love it!

Besides the regular housekeeping chores, we caught 47 lbs catfish...fried one of them for ourselves....carried the others to a Mexican neighbor for our catfish/beef/hens trade....finished up our new chicken pen (3 day project) and went to neighbors to collect 4 hens.....Domino, Snowflake, Petunia, and Daisy Mae.....lol.

no it wasn't. I'm still out of sorts over this whole thing of whether or not they're going to buy us out. I needed to finish the new chicken pen yesterday but just didn't have the heart to do it. I guess that todayI have to go finish that. regardless of what happens I have chicks that will need a place to go when the outgrow the bathroom tubs. I am however not going to the amount of detail I would normally......I'm looking at these as temporary pens that come winter if we're here will need some work on them.

Yesterday was the most productive day around here that I've had in a long time. I was able to do my regular cleaning/chores; keep the kids busy all day long (which is a chore in itself!); grocery shop; make phone calls and do some deep cleaning that I've been putting off for awhile (who me, procrastinate? lol).

I got some new migraine medicine and it is doing wonders right now (crossing fingers it stays that way!). It's beautiful outside this morning - I've already got every window open to listen to the birds chirp - so I hope today will be a good day too.
