Name those llamas!

2 more llamas came along today. A neighbor loved her critters but ran out of money to keep them, so the alpacas went back to the breeder who sold the alpacas to begin with, and I have these two. (yep, I have "softie" stamped on my forehead) At least the grass is starting to come in so I won't have to feed hay for too much longer.

Anyhow, these guys need names! Their 9 months old, males, ungelded (that's gonna change as soon as we can get the vet out). One is chocolate brown with a fringe around his ears. The other is white with a red stripe around his neck just under his chin and red eyebrows. The white one also has a black tail.

-- I should add that our other llamas are Pancho and Lefty, if that give you any ideas.

Oh, and Groucho and Harpo sort of goes with the Pancho and Lefty theme we already had going! Nice, I like that.

Any other ideas?

No photos yet - the little dudes just got here.

I'm liking Willy and Merle! Why didn't I think of that?

My daughter had some fish name Willie and Waylon at one time. After all it sounds like you have two more "good ole boys". LOL

You could go for the exteme and call them Billy Bob and the Redneck.

Off topic a little here. You really shouldn't geld them until they are around 2. It has something to do with their growth. I can look it up & get you a link if you'd like. I'm not trying to sound like a know it all. Just something I learned about them. I have 1 right now. I used to have several.
Not sure about names. I have a hard time giving anything a name.

I didn't know that about gelding them. Thank you! I'm pretty new to the whole llama thing, and learning as much as I can as quickly as I can about them. The first two were rescues who just needed a space - any space - so I feel like I've been playing catch up.

Pancho and Lefty are in with the goats and sheep now, and they're all getting along just fine. The new ones are in the isolated pasture so we can get used to each other and make sure they're healthy.

if one was a girl, i'd suggest "dolly", assuming you didn't mind having a buddhist animal (dolly llama)

I do like Juan and Jesus, but Husband thinks that might be sacrilegious (sp?).

So, I think we've settled on Willie and Waylon. It suits the Pancho and Lefty theme, and Willy and Waylon roll off the tongue better than Willie and Merle. Thanks for all the suggestions!
