A photo of my horse & me

I have never posted a photo here before. I just setup a flickr account and uploaded a photo that my mom took of my mare Annie and me last summer. She calls it my Happy Horse photo. Let's see if this works.

Well, obviously I did something wrong. I've printed out the instructions that Kung wrote in the Computer forum, so let's try something else.

I was trying to get it so that the photo is actually in my post, not just a link.

you need to put the url between brackets containing 'img' like this (but I'm replacing the [ with { )

{img}http://farm1.static.flickr.com/169/424354847_77df4b6f28.jpg?v=0{/img}

just replace the { } with [ ] ... hope that helps.

btw, love the horse, what color is that considered?

J

I did that on the second one, typed it in manually. I'm so not-computer savvy.

She's a Buckskin, golden tan with black mane & tail, and 4 black socks. She gets that line down the middle of her back lightly in the summer, and she has the most beautiful dapple coloring (that's the mottled pattern of light & dark gold). She's Quarterhorse/Arab/Tennessee Walker.

http://farm1.static.flickr.com/169/4...7df4b6f28.jpg? v=0 <--this v=0 has to go and you have to bracket the photo with [img]http://farm1.static.flickr.com/169/424354847_77df4b6f28.jpg?[/img*] with the star removed

Thank you for the compliments. She's a real beauty. Thank you ZYG - how did you know that? You make it look so easy. Course now y'all will be in big trouble now that I know how to post a picture.

Oh my what a beautiful horse. So sweet.
What is the name and how old? How long have you had your horse.

I always secretly wanted a horse that color. I like the dark mane and tail with the light and that dapple is beautiful.
Thanks for sharing and send some more on down the line.

Great pic, you look great and your horse is beautiful! I've said for quite some time that the next horse I get is going to be a buckskin, but that hasn't yet panned out for me since I've met other horses with great personalities before I met any buckskins lol.

Hi Happycat! Buckskins are my FAVORITE. Yours is absolutely beautiful! My first horse was a buckskin (although mine was jug headed and mule eared, but he was beautiful to me!), and I have always wanted another one. It's a great pic of both of you!

ZYG, I want to learn to post pics, but I don't think I'll ever be able to learn because your post was like reading a foreign language in my feeble mind!
