My tomato seeds have sprouted!

:baby04: I went out to water them this am and found about one hundred little green 'spots' on the black earth. I have 19 different varieties and have to get them transplanted in to the big pots in a few days... Queen Bee who is the crazy tomato lady..

Mine have too. Not sure why I started them so early, but it sure is fun to see them up & growing.

Me too! I have sprouts of eggplants, jalapeno and bell peppers, snapdragons, and tomatoes. Whoo Hoo!

I'm still waiting on the petunias, dianthus and have some flowers that need to be started later or direct seeded. I'm going to put in a lot of Four O'Clocks because they always do so well for me. With any luck I'll have a TON of Four O'Clock seed to offer here in the fall! Those little "grenades" are so cute.

I'm a crazy tomato lady too, though this year I've restricted myself to 8 varieties. Let's see...I've got
Mortgage Lifter
Juliet
Jubilee
Big Boy
Brandywine
Cherokee Purple
Sungold
and I'm still waiting for my German Queen seeds from Seeds Of Change.

I'd have more, but as of yet I still don't have a garden in which to plant them. DH promises to de-sod and till it soon...next Thursday if the weather cooperates.

I also have several varieties of cukes, squash, melons and pumpkins to be direct-seeded or at least started in pots later, and two types of pole bean including a purple one! I'm really looking forward to spring!

I started seeds indoors in mid-February, and I'm thinking now that I started them to *late*. Global warming sure is screwing up the normal weather around here. We went from winter to summer without stopping at 'spring'.

I know what you mean. I am thinking the same thing about starting them too late.
I have lost count on how many I have of what veggie, in what size pots and it's all I can do to keep up with what is what in each flat or tray. I think I have about 20 or maybe 22 or 23 flats and am transplanting into gallon pots as fast as I can.
It got up to 82 but overcast here today so I carried them all outside to get a little sun. Looks like they liked it.
I just wish the plastic for the greenhouse would get here so I won't need to keep moving the little boogers, lol.
Good Gardening and God Bless to all
Dennis

If you're crazy, I'm absolutely insane!! I have 48 different kind of heirloom tomatoes up--and not just one in each pot!!!
I also have cauliflower, broccoli, several kinds of cabbage, onions, too many herbs to count--and I cant even remember what else.....
