When did you deliver?
Ladies, when did you deliver compared to your due date? I ask because I am due with my third on MArch 4th and am getting antsy. Just curious about how things went for you all.

Due Sept 10 - delivered Sept. 24 (9 lb. 12 oz)
Due Feb 6 - Delivered Feb. 19 (9 lb. 5 oz)
Due Oct 3l - Delivered Nov. 3 (9 lb. 12 1/2 oz)
All were overdue - but my grandmother swore she always went a full 10 months with all 7 of hers. Guess it runs in the family.

Missed by a mile both times
My first son was born a month early. I had an abruption and was hemorrhaging so they took him by c-section. My second son was born (VBAC) nine days late, resisted all efforts to induce (drip twice, gel -- I drew the line when they came at me with a chunk of seaweed that looked like a twig and told me where they intended to put it ) . They finally broke my water, and he was born three hours later
Funny -- both of them follow their birth circumstances with their personalities -- my eldest is always early, up and at 'em, let's go, let's go! Younger son... have to drag him away from everything, push him into "being ready", never wants to move on from what he's currently doing

My first was 3 1/2 weeks early (8 lbs., 7 oz.) and was delivered by c-section.
My second was scheduled for a c-section at the time my doctor said was my due date. He was 8 lbs., 12 oz.

My 2nd baby was due on June 28. Water broke right before midnight on June 29th and he was born around 4 a.m. on the 30th.
Here's a tip: You get them out by doing the same thing that put them in there.

First one was a week late. Second one was right on the due date. Third one was a week early. I might add that for the second one, that was the ONLY time she has ever been anywhere when she was supposed to be. LOL

first 2 days late
second over a week late
3rd. we could never agree on due date but I wanted her a certain date and she was 2 days late of my chosen date. I worked on that girl for a month, doing chores, mowing the lawn. Running everywhere. She had her own plans.
I think due dates are bull.

My son was born at 38 weeks and my daughter was born at 37 weeks. I was stuck in bed with both of them due to pre-term labor, when the time came with my son (my water broke) things weren't progressing much and this led to that and I had an emergency c-section because his heart rate was dropping drastically every time I had a contraction. Daughter was a planned C-section but I went into labor at 37 weeks on the dot, so the dr decided she was done a'cookin' and took her out then. Son was 6lbs 2oz, daughter was 5lbs 10oz (I'm not very big and no one in my family has ever had big babies), but you didn't ask for all that huh? *snickers*
I couldn't wait for either of them to be born but when it was finally happening (especially with my son) I just kept thinking "I'm not ready..... I'M NOT READY!!!"
Congratulations by the way!

My first was 2 weeks early 6 lbs 4 oz
My second was exactly on his due date 7 lbs 12 oz
They say each birth is easier than the last.
Not so, my first I was in labor slightly less than 5 hours.
My second slightly over 10 (He double timed it)

DD was due 8/26 and was born 7/27 6 lbs 14 oz and term not premie
DS was due 3/18, later changed to 3/10 because of sonogram for long, hard episodes of false labor. Born 4/25 and he was term not postmature.
You look at things like hair growth, subcutaneous fat deposition and sexual development to judge prematurity and postmaturity. Weight is no longer considered an accurate indicator.
FWIW I used to have a 35 day cycle till after ds was born.

Due January 15 Delivered December 9 after leaky membrane
Due April 22 Delivered April 16 after 16 weeks of preterm labor
We stopped while we were ahead.
Good luck with the delivery. This is such a wonderful time for you. Is your first one all set for being a big sibling now?

September 16th, 1996. He didn't make it. That was our James Harrison Enyart that should have blown you all away simply for his living amongst us. He fared better, I guess.
Of course I'm biased.
