What do you think of this eBay listing?

http://cgi.ebay.com/Christmas-Wish-F...QQcmdZViewItem

I came upon this listing while going through the Answer Center to ask a question about counters.

The woman was asking why her listings are being deleted by eBay. This one obiosivily hasn't yet.

Looks like she has some nice living room furniture, maybe she should sell that? Lets see hmm, I don't have a lick of furniture in my living room, nor even a kitchen table and you don't see me on ebay begging for $500 ski passes.

What irked me was that the bidding was starting at $99 for WHAT? I box of stuff she said has no value. How about that Buy it Now. $3000.
I can sympathize with her situation. But I think she's really gone overboard.

Yea....her living room looked really, really nice! The coffee table looks like its slate. The kitchen was really nice too! I wish my house looked like that! Majority of our furniture is hand me downs.

Hmmmm....

No room in my living room for a tree either. I'm still trying to figure out how to seat 5 people on a 3 seater couch in my small living room. There is no room for any more seating.

She has revised the listing, dropped the BIN from $3000 to $1800 and added photos.

The door just needs to be repainted. And the missing tiles on the floor....really.
Her "sunroom" looks like all it needs is sheetrock. If that isn't possible, all she has to do is be "creative" with that instead. Buy some nice printed sheets at a thrift store and tack them up over the walls until she could afford sheetrock.
I mean, really, there are people who are having a harder time then she obviously is having and don't do this.

If you think about it, someone like that doesn't know how to be creative other than to follow the way of Huckleberry Finn. Heaven forbid she should break a fingernail or even try to work with paint, tile or sheetrock if she can get someone else to pay for, and do the job for her.

Not to stereotype but, it sounds to me like an eyelash batting female that's trying to get someone else to take care of her problems, at their expense of course.

If somone is stupid enough to bid she should get the money. Maybe we should all have auctions like this? I knew I was going about making a living the wrong way, we work??? I'm going to turn to ebay, how about you?

Is this woman legit? She could do a mini tree in her l.r. & have it sit on her stand that she has that floral arrangement on. That was what I had to do. What about doing her shopping at the dollar store & doing a theme basket for each boy. It could cost her less than $40.00. There are also the goodwill & salv. army stores that have some nice things like puzzles & board games for family togetherness. Homemade gifts. They are old enough to understand the family problems & to help to be part of the solution. The 16 year old could get a part time job after school & weekends & the 14 year old could cut grass & shovel snow. There are organizations that she could apply to for help in getting a scooter for her disabled son. The mother could get a job in the evenings when the other boys are home with the disabled one. Think outside of the box.

I think its like Fla Gal said, she might be just the type who wants others to do things for her.
My dad use to say there were some people if they had less that $10,000 in the bank they considered themselves poor. And he said he wouldn't mind being that kind of poor.

Did you check the link QB had for the pumpkin pie this woman was also trying to sell?

If the auction works, and she is in a hard spot, good for her. at least she isnt hitting the welfare system up for a handout, this should appeal to all the anti welfare people here.

She is using a creative way to make a few bucks. The pie thing was funny, Ive seen things like that go for way more.

the idea someones house has to look like a pig pen to be "broke" is kind stupid. I have about 10k in tools in the back room, and I am broke too. I wont sell the tools to buy food, but many might point and yell "sell yer stuff".

give this lady a little credit, she could as easily be running one of 1000 ebay scams and really raking in the cash.

real scammers are a litte more creative than this.

I'll watch and see who murmers WWJD to themselves and bids out of conviction to do someone a favor.
lol
I wont hold my breath.

All three of those "boys" are old enough to get a job and buy thier own CHRISTmas presents.

And my Granny passed away 2 yrs ago and we still don't have a headstone. She didn't leave a policy.
