Surprised it didn't say " Your a Grammar Guru".
I'm constantly amazed at the number of folks that can't tell the difference in a contraction and a possessive adjective.

I am constantly amazed at the number of people who care about such nonsense.
I also know enough about contractions to know when they are less than three minutes apart... ya better be getting her to the doc or start boiling water. I am not sure just what part the boiling water plays, but all the old docs on tv wanted some.

Yeah, I thought that I was going to blow that one too, but my somewhat educated and very lucky guess was correct.
There was another one that I was not too sure about either... of/have I think it was. I was lucky there also.
It was the one where the same answer was right for both questions. Until then they alternated and then they threw a monkey wrench into the game.

That was too easy. I got Grammar Guru for 100%, but I do spend my day correcting grammar, punctuation and spelling for DOCTORS.
When I'm not working, I don't stress about it and...I kin tawk lak a hick if'n I wanna, lol!
I just figure if college and medical school educated people can't get it right (and you wouldn't believe how UNintelligent some of them are - it's downright scary!), then why get bent out of shape when a regular person, especially someone on a message board, doesn't do it correctly? Life is just too short.
Fun game though, thanks for sharing it.

Me too! In fact today I had to correct a report that kept referring to a left broken ankle (it was her right). Scary is right..and don't even get me started on the difference a decimal point can make!

100%!
That's only because of Miss Steadman who was old school and made us do archaic things like diagram sentences. She drilled us in all things grammar. Best Teacher EVER!
RIP Miss Steadman.

88 and I didn't take an english class after first quarter 9th grade. I've never actually seen "e.g." used so I mixed them up.
I've never heard a difference between whether and weather.

I love "such nonsense." In fact I will do any of these sorts of things just to see how much I remember. Considering my last grammar lesson in English (French went on for a few more years) was 41 years ago I think I did fairly well.
If you like these sorts of things try FREERICE. You can even study for your SATs playing these "games".

You're is correct. Any time you're in doubt, see if "you are" will fit. That helps clear up the confusion.
The same thing with things like "he and I" or "he and me". Drop of the "he" and you'll quickly know whether to use I or me.

Scored 100. I do medical transcription also. My first editor was the grammar Nazi. She was a mean woman. I suffered much humiliation over optional commas.

This one I know. If you can replace it with "he" then you use "who" if you need to say "him" you use "whom".

It gives the men something to do that keeps them out of the way.

WE some of my college profs. butchered the American language. I decided on not letting it get to me unless it will be on record for ever and I have the time to go back and edit often. My typing skills are still bad enough that I can retype several times to get it correct. Time get my vote over perfection.

I do wish there would be more grammer in high school.
We just did essays and reports no real rules. I don't remember some of the rules from 6th grade. with txting being so popular all the rules are out the window anyway.
