If Amazone is oging to run a fleet of drones, so will Pizza Hut, Autozone, UPS and 10,000 other companies, eventually.

So far drones are pretty small and can only deliver relatively small items. If it's successful at that level how big will they get? Will they start to build them in a size that can deliver furniture, appliances, skids of items, building materials, how big would they go? Could they eventually be the size of helicopters? Maybe you could get your new car delivered from the dealership right to your driveway or a load of feed to your barn. Really, if it does work the possibilities are endless along with the liabilities. With the skies filled with drones the law of averages dictates that a certain number of them will come crashing to the ground, likely causing damage, injuries and possibly death. I can imagine the disaster caused by a drone with a skid of lumber crashing in the downtown of any major city. Even a small one with a couple of textbooks falling from any height would be pretty dangerous.
