Obama is not the devil and not everything he's done is wrong, not everything he's done is right, and the author of that piece should probably get therapy over why she feels spreading hate is more important to her as a conservative than helping bring this country together.

If you have to push your family away because they support a different political party, it's not all their fault. I have plenty of friends at both extremes while I usually stay just a little towards the conservative side of the middle. I'm all for people's rights, which ends me in the middle, because while I support gun rights, I also support women's rights. And oddly enough, neither side supports rights for everyone, no matter what they prattle on about.

No one should allow how other people think to influence their opinion of themselves. No one can be made happy, unless they do it for themselves. That quote by Obama was absolutely true. A multi-billionaire can commit suicide through drugs because he's never happy and never can find his way to happiness.... a legless beggar living on the streets can be happy despite living in poverty wondering if he'll eat each day.

You are the ONLY one who can make you happy. You can convince yourself that marrying this guy will make you happy... or buying a nice car... or owning a homestead... or stockpiling a million rounds of ammo... it's all lying to yourself. It's YOU making you happy, not the things, not the people. Once you accept it and believe it, you can be happy WHILE STILL PURSUING goals and things in life. You can still have a goal that gives you pleasure(making that perfect cheddar cheese... getting promoted... buying that lambo in shiny red...). But that's not the secret to happiness.
