This isn't a new thing, though. When I was a teen in the late 80s I went to a party with my best friend (black) and her cousins. It was a block party in a 'black neighborhood' of the nearest 'city' (14000 pop). I had never, ever experienced such racism. Thank goodness there were some guys (also black) from my high school who were popular in the neighborhood there to take up for me.
Most of the threats came from other girls who yelled horrible racial insults at me. Once people at the party knew I was there with some of their good friends they backed off, but I still got horrible treatment -- like not letting me use the restroom because I was white (not conjecture. i was told straight out I was not allowed to use their toilet because I was white.) A school friend had to take me to his grandmother's apartment to go. My friend and her family felt horrible about it, apologized profusely, and got me out of there -- then I felt bad because I thought my being white had ruined their night (my friend was very excited to meet up with a boy she had a crush on and then had to leave because of me).
Anywho, the thing is, during all that, I never once feared for my safety. It seems like this is racism that has been brewing for a while and has turned to violence.

The young people have been taught to hate white people all of their life, just as their parents were. The difference now is they have learned if they join together in a large mob there is nothing anyone can do to them. They are free to do whatever they want.
If anyone even complains they are labeled racist. As soon as someone mentions racist the conservation changes to how to punish the racists and people forget the original problem.
Very convenient for the mob.

Has anyone ever seen any videos of white kids flash-mobbing a Walmart, convenience store, etc.?

And too dumb to realize where all whites suddenly being dead would leave her people...

Unfortunately we have elected officials that are doing their best to widen the racial divide. I believe we'll always have racism, but also believe that until recent years it has been better. Now I am seeing more and more racial tensions in the area.

Angry, just like crazy, know no color boundries.

Unfortunately TPTB are stirring up racial divisions.

Yes, it's been brewing for a while, in fact, from the very beginning. I've experienced the opposite of you, having taken some black friends to an event where they were treated horribly. I was so embarrassed at how they were treated. Not long ago I took my DS and a couple of his friends to a Waffle House. We sat and waited while everyone else was waited on, many who came in after we did. We never did get served, just ignored, so we left and ended up going to another Waffle House that I was familiar with and were served with no problem. I talked with the manager about what we had experienced and were told that it was not the first time they had had complaints about that particular Waffle House and asked me to fill out a report, which I did, gladly. Whites and Blacks will always have problems dealing with each other as long as people perpetuate racism, and now we're seeing our elected officials publically stirring up more division. It's a shame, because our lives would be much richer if we could learn from each other, rather than judging others by the color of their skin.
