A person's sexuality is completely irrelevant to me. He was asked and he chose to answer. Perhaps he was just tired of having to pretend and dodge the question. All I know is that he is an excellent reporter and very courageous. His reports on Somalia, Rwanda and Bosnia were incredible and right from the front lines. His coverage of the Tsunami and Katrina were comprehensive and had real humanity to them. He seems to be one of the few remaining reporters who can be impartial. His segment "Keeping them honest" really goes after anyone who is trying to bs.

LOL...ok.
Strangely I couldn't find any recent pics of me in nylons, I don't have occasion much any more.
With the old boyfriend..and no, I would never dare wear a skirt that short any more!
Another old one..
And in the interest of full disclosure, me more recently and a whole lot older

Well, your beautiful and all, but I kinda had my heart set on an ankle. I must say I'm a little disappointed.

HUH? I don't see anyone here demanding anything from anyone. This whole thread is a non-issue. The only ones I see making an issue are those on the left because the right are all saying, so what. It's like people are trying to start an argument, but we all pretty much are in agreement. It's ridiculous. No one cares if he's gay, just like no one would care if he was heterosexual.

Did reporters in the 50-60's ask such personal questions?
Seriously.
I saw a snip of oprah (commercial) where she was doing a sit down interview with a famous basketball player, and was asking him VERY PERSONAL questions about his personal life.
I have see interviews where an athlete has just finished his game, or race, and the reporter will ask the most assinine question about the individuals personal life....and I think "how does that have ANYTHING to do with the game/race that just took place?".
I, personally, feel like in the last 15 years, reporters are asking (across the board) more personal questions that are (A) None of their dang business and (B) None of my dang business.......
what do you think?

Most of the time this type of interview the questions are vetted by the interviewed person.. Does it matter not to me.

Drag queens are kinda like tatoos. There are good-lookin' tatoos. There are old tatoos. There are seldom good-lookin' old tatoos.
Just a personal opinion, YMMV...

Sure, but we are the problem, because we need and relish in the dirt.
Most people would absolutely care less about an Anderson Cooper interview - until they asked about his "sexual orientation" - which let's face it - Cooper knew the question was coming and the interviewer already knew the answer.
People love celebrity "dirt".
They could care less about a celebrity, otherwise.
Look as Lindsay Lohan. If she just lived a normal life, she would be ignored completely. Instead the public can't get enough of her and her problems.

I found this very amusing. Who didn't know he was gay? Assumed everyone that'd watched him for a few nanoseconds knew this.
Can't see how this is relevant to anything, except a slow news cycle.

But... but... it's about how fabulous Anderson Cooper is. It's all about him! Don't y'all undestand? Gotta feed his ego or he'll starve.

Your hair is beautiful.
Does it 'shimmer' in the sunlight?
I am paying BIG BUCKS to get red (and cover the mass of grey) and then he finishes with a product that makes it 'shimmer' in the sunlight. It's just beautiful.......but if I can do it myself, for a fraction of the cost, sign me up!!!

It does, it's the clear glaze..If your colorist is using a pretty straight forward color formula and glaze, you should be able to find the brand on ebay an do it yourself (don't forget to buy the right developer)
I used to get my hair colored by Beth Minardi in New York...I could never, ever afford her prices, but she's my friend and refused to charge me (I was her daughter's full time nanny from age 2-7) she's about the best in the world.
When I moved to Michigan, she sent me here with enough product to be able to do my own color for over a year, and she would do my hair when I went to visit NY, but I never go back anymore..too busy to travel ..then I discovered I could buy it all on Ebay.
I think Beth uses Joico colors now.
Here you go Laura...;D
