Oatmeal. I hate it. I'm trying to think of something I love that nobody else here does and I can't come up with anything.

Beets. I just hate 'em. Everyone else likes 'em. Of course, they have to get them somewhere else, 'cause I don't cook 'em!
Bitter melon. Love bitter melon. Nobody else does.
Oh, well ....more for me!

Things they love I hate: fish, livers, fried squash, sauerkraut, cooked carrots.
Things I love they hate: feta, grits, hot tea, cream of mushroom soup.
I do tolerate fish...IF it's battered, deep fried and from Long John Silver's...lol.

I love Litehouse Bleu Cheese Dressing on any kind of salad or chicken. I could eat it out of the jar. Only one who does tho lol. It may be bizzare but I do not like Mac and Cheese. My family thinks it is unamerican but I can't stand it.

The kids love (does candy count?) .... grape jelly & steak and I don't touch the stuff unless I *have* to.
On the other hand, I can't think of anything that I love, that the kids don't.... (my son is WAY pickier than my daughter though)

I do like candied ginger. I can polish off a whole bag, munching on it piece by piece. No one else here seems to find it tempting.

"There's more than corn in Indiana." Me too. I ate too much when I was little and now I can hardly look at it.
I do not eat beet picled eggs. My family likes them.

I love hummus, but no one else in the house will eat it. Everyone else will eat collard greens and I can't stand the smell of them cooking, let alone the taste. I am willing to grow them in the garden for everyone else to enjoy.

In Russia I saw a dish made layered like a cake with liver then beets and so on. I can't stand either.

There is very little I won't eat, a bunch that the dr. says I can't eat. T.M.O.T.H. likes very little but eats things I tell him he should to balance his diet. He would eat rice potatoes and bread in the same meal if I let him.

I like salmon patties, but no one else. Maybe I just don't cook it good enough for them?

I hate canned fruit of all kinds including applesauce. Family likes it. I only like fruit fresh.
But I have a strange aversion to any pears, fresh or canned, even tho I think the fresh ones taste wonderful I don't like them.
I suspect that there are sometimes emotional happenings around foods that make us not care for them.

Eggs. They eat I don't. But they ALL smoke. Not me, no way.
It's just me and the cats at home now, and what they eat, I don't!

Mushrooms. All 3 sons love them on pizza, mushroom soup in casseroles, and really in anything at all.
When I was a kid, I gagged at just the smell of mushroom soup heating up on the stove. Now, I can eat a little bit of deep fried shrooms, or stuffed, but really, I prefer not to.
(although Puffballs are pretty good)
I liked ham and beans and cornbread, but none of my sons were terribly fond of beans.
I liked buttermilk, even as a kid, but the boys didn't.
