I have so many now that I'm not working and became a stay at home mom..

Listening to the peepers all day & night.
Having the window's open listening to a rain/thunder storm.
Fresh mowed lawns.
Fresh mowed hay.
Watching my chicken's scrath & peck.
Walking my 2-acre lawn.
Sitting in my new swing in the yard.
Laying in my hammock.
Looking at my beautiful enclosed Greenhouse w/several raised bed's that me & my dh both cameup with the layout of it..
Looking at my Herb/Mint garden that I just planted a few week's ago.
Looking and touching each & every Fruit tree that has been planted over the past 3-yrs.
Looking at ALL the Blueberry/Raspberry/Blackberry bushes that we planted over the past 4-yrs.
Watching newly leafed out leaves on our tree's.
Long hot showers.
Making my food from scratch.
Having a stockpile of various food/baking goods and being able to whip up almost anything I would like to make.
Smelling homemade bread fresh out of the oven.
Having my dh ask if I have any homemade sherbet for him.
Looking at my house that we bought 4yrs ago and everything that we have that has made it a home..(we lived in a very small cramped trailer for 12yrs)
sitting around our firepit.
The smell of woodburning in our woodstove.
Seeing my little nieces & nephews.
Fresh clean sheet's that have dried on the clothesline.
A clean house.
Staying up late to watch my favorite show's on tv..(when I was working (for 17yrs) I was asleep by 8:00 at night to get up early the next day )
Having a full freezer.
Having lot's of food/toiletries.
Having a dh that likes having me home.
Being able to attend holiday get togethers..missed several through out the years when working.

Yes..these are ALL simple pleasures that make my world and I'm very thankful for it!

Renting a cabin in the mountains in the winter and watching the snow fall while curling up beside a nice fire with a cup of coffee. Having time alone to read with no interruptions. My DS's laughter and hugs. DH when he surprises me with handpicked wildflowers. Watching the goat babies at play. Listening to the rooster crowing. Weeding my gardens early in the morning, when no one else is stirring but the birds are singing to me. Seeing a child accept Christ after teaching them in Children's Church. Having a child or the parent of a child thank me for teaching them about God. Having my DS tell me I'm the best mom in the world.

The first snowball of the season.
Blowing off my diet for a bowl of Cocoa Krispies.
Helping my busy wife with her chores, and knocking them out together.
Writing a letter to someone who doesn't get letters anymore - or getting one in reply!

A cool shower on a hot day.
Clean sheets.
Cold beer.
A letter from one of my grandchildren.
Wind in the leaves.
Hearing my husband's truck pull into the driveway.

Waking up and realizing I'm alive to experience another day
Listening to the rooster crowing while I make the coffee
Giving each dog a thorough body scratch and watching their tails wag
Sitting on the porch reading my Bible while the sun rises through the pine trees
Hearing my mares low nickers when they see me coming to feed
The smell of a clean barn and a well-groomed horse
Watching the social antics of the chickens
A trail ride on my mare
My child or grandchild's voice on the phone
Living where I do, seeing the work of ancestral family members in almost everything I touch, feeling their Spirits guiding me.
Knowing a Loving God and Savior

In His Love

A short list
Spring ,with all its fresh smells .
Like the smell of ozone during a thunderstorm , the smell of clover blooms Or The dirt when my neighbor is plowing his fields .
I stand in awe of mother animals tending to their babies .
I like to lay on a small hill in my pasture and cloud watch .The sky seems to be bluer in the spring as well...

Watching the calves play in the pasture, the sound of my tractor and equipment mowing the hay, the smell of freshly turned soil, the sound of the drive chain on Yvonne's motorcycle when she rides alongside mine, watching a fish jump, listening to the peepers, the smell of steaks on the grill, relaxing on the porch at the end of the day with a snifter of good brandy are all good things but my very favorite simple pleasure is seeing my Yvonne smile.
