Interesting report here.... I have to wonder if you read it? According to this article the majority of the debris never made it into the ocean, and the vast majority of it that did is harmless, and there is no real way to determine when, if ever, any of it will be coming to the US coast.... much less kill 14,000 people in the US.

Yep, I read it.

It was interesting.

Here is another one concerning just regular debris, and yes, I just watched it:

All that trash that was washed into the sea got there long before the troubles with the reactor arose.
There you go ruining the whole thread with facts and logic

I cant deny that a good many of our city cousins are somewhat piggish. But I am not exactly sure how that relates to the OP and the junk science it contains?

That is correct what you say about there being no way to determine it.

From that article:
Quote:
Scientists are relying on computer models to predict the debris items’ path and drift rate. Independent models run by NOAA and University of Hawaii tell us some debris could pass near or wash ashore in the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands as early as this winter (based on reported sightings of debris by the Russian ship STS Pallada (September 2011), approach the West Coast of the United States in 2013, and circle back to the main Hawaiian Islands in 2014 to 2016.
Which just goes to show that computer models cannot be relied on because they're soooo wrong on this one.

The first wave of that trash has been washing up on the shores of Vancouver Island and the Washington coastline for the past 2 weeks already.

You could probably find verification of it if you go looking for recent CTV and CBC west coast news about it. It's been on several of their TV News broadcasts in the past couple of weeks. The broadcasts have included interviews with driftwood collectors who exhibited the Japanese flotsam they've been finding recently on the shores. A couple of weeks ago on the coast of Washington one fellow found a string of nine large polyethylene buoys that belonged to a Japanese oyster farmer. The oyster farmer's name and address was painted on each of the buoys, it was from Fukushima Prefecture.

True there is so much garbage in the ocean no one can be sure that this was washed up because of the tidal wave, and certainly can't prove that any deaths are on the rise from it.
Heck haven't people seen that "whirlpool" in the ocean where the plastic debris and other stuff is just going around and around and around.
Lots of trash has been floating for many years in the oceans. That is a fact. The other things bout getting radiation poisoning not so.

thanks fer the info... I did find this story:

http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?...3A+CBSNews.com)

It mentions the bouys... it also mentions these kinds of bouys have been drifting ashore for many years, and that there has been no real determination of any radioactive materials found in the water at this point. Could there be a possible threat??? sure, but its basically unknown at this time when, how much or where any potential threat may or may not appear in the future.

Yeah. You really don't know much about this subject. If you learn too much it might get in the way of the facts.

I think perhaps you don't know much about this subject either. YH is actually correct. At this time it IS unknown when, how much or where any potential threat may or may not appear in the future. At this time everything is just conjecture and speculation with a smattering of tinfoil hysteria mixed in to spice it up.

I never once said I did know. This is an interesting topic. Again, I didn't stick my neck out with "the facts" as these boys have done. Please make a note of it.

It is like second and third hand smoke taht supposedly kills people. They died with a cause that could be somehow connected to that radiation incident.
