Who is funding OWS?
 

Ok I know some really support the OWS movement, and some are very much against it. My interest is in its potential to affect change, &/or bring attention, in regards to banking and government corruption. As well as the matter of the protester who was injured.

Well while surfing this morning I came across this. I havent decided if I believe it or not, or if its someones spin.

I'm sure this Lucis organization is just a group of freedom loving individuals that believe in life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, free of the shackles of govt. slavery.

I can imagine they even backed the Tea Party folks too!

Soros apparently had a meeting with Bloomberg a couple weeks ago over the OWS business.

I'm not calling bunk, but can I get a link to that? I've had a tough time finding anything solid on Soro's and OWS.

I really hope its not true. I hope Im wrong about this. It was posted on Halloween though so maybe. Ive read a few books by one of the founders of the Lucis Trust organization, Alice Bailey.

Anyone can register a website to almost anyone else...When you create a website, you register it to someone. You can fill in any name and they don't ask for identification proving that you are who you say that you are.

We've never had anyone prove Soros or anyone else funded OWS. I have a thread on it now and no one can prove Soros involvement. If it's true, I'd like to know honestly. I have been able to find some of OWS's funding sources, and they are generally common people.

To the OP. Ad Busters started the OWS website. In trying to find Soros funding I've been able to trace back to the beginning of OWS. Ad Busters is a Canadian company, and is in fact left leaning. Since OWS has taken on a life of it's own it has not responded or agreed to the 'solutions' put forth by Ad Busters though... So there's that.

Since Angie trashed some of our posts over there, i'll respond here! Can anyone prove that Soros is NOT involved in funding this ows movement? One can prove links from him to ows, so i'd like some real proof that he isn't involved in monetarily supporting them. He did give the tides foundation $3.5 million dollars from 07-09 and the tides foundation gave money to adbusters. The ows folks don't seem to have any leaders to take any responsablity for their group, so it's tough trying to find out their source of funding. It will become clear soon enough i reckon!

I can prove he didn't fund OWS, by not being able to prove he DID fund them. Good enough for a court of law, good enough for me.

No draw. There is a reason you are innocent until proven guilty in this country.

You can't prove a negative. If you honestly don't understand the concept then I can't help you. I can explain it, but I can't understand it for you. It's like asking me to prove there is no Santa Clause.

Same with your post above, YOU can't prove a negitive either! And in this country, right now, you ARE guilty until you can prove your innocent!

Now, if in this country you are guilty until proven innocent does that mean if I called you a pedophile (No folks, I'm not calling him a pedophile, it's hypothetical) you are one? Unless you have video footage of every moment of your life you can't prove you aren't. I don't have to prove you are one, so where does that leave you? And this is the argument you're making?

I was pointing out that right now, in America, one is generaly thought to be guilty until proven innocent, that's all. As much as i hate it, that's where the government has taken us. Want examples? The un-patriot act, unreasonable search and seizure, the list goes on. There are examples of it everyday in the news. Open your eye's and you will see it clear as day! Waiting for the name calling to start again!

You're making a point against something, then using it to advance your argument. I agree with you on much of the highlighted part and have to ask, if you hate it so much and admit it's wrong, why are you doing it?
