One more detail that I thought worth mentioning..............
Lake county, Florida is a mostly socially conservative place, with one exception.
Most of the gay population there tend to gravitate towards a little town that has an artsy New England flavor.
Can you guess which town that is?

The main highway to this town is the same road to my neighborhood, about 45 minutes apart. It doesn't seem fair that he is being disciplined for speaking his mind when other teachers can rant and rave against students that speak up in class supporting creationism, conservative politicians, Christianity, etc. There shouldn't be a double standard.

I don't understand the statement in bold.

Where do other teachers do their ranting and raving? Do they do it online?

Are you saying that students interrupt or interfere with classes by speaking up about these subjects, or are they subjects that are being discussed as part of school curriculums? I thought that personal politics and religious agendas weren't part of school curriculums.
