Most people I know that don't have kids.

Every gun I have that I actually use around the farm is ready to fire all the time.

Sounds like the only thing that would work in England is SSS.

I keep all my weapons at the ready, in the rack, or where ever they happen to be. An unloaded gun is also known as a club. Lets assume you are wakened in the night, with an armed intruder in your home.... do you really want to have to go down to the basement, unlock your gun safe, hunt for the dang trigger lock key and get it unlocked, then unlock the ammo cabinet, (remember, Safety Suzy says "we never store our ammo with the guns") load your gun, before you can defend your family? I much prefer reaching over, picking up my pistol or shotgun, carefully identify my target, and blow his foolish head off. family all safe and secure, I can go back to sleep and call the sheriff to dispose of the trash come morning.

Yeppers, most accidental shootings happen with unloaded guns.... seems safer to me to make sure that they are all loaded at all times.... and make sure the kiddies know how to use them safely.

That's not what I was saying at all, my weapons are kept with 3/4 full magazines. All I need to do is chamber a round and I'm ready to rock & roll.

Thank God I live in America, where some miscreant can spend the rest of his life in my living room.

I keep my carry guns and night stand gun chambered, but the shotgun in the corner is loaded but not chambered.
