2 1\2 Men has been cancelled !

................Charlie Sheen who receives 1.2 Mill per episode has his series cancelled because of Rants about the head writer ! Sheen doesn't feel he has a drinking problem and will only Rehab , at his Home ! What an Idiot he must be ! I love watching this show so it's reruns from now on I suppose ! , fordy:yuck:

citilivin 02/24/11 11:43 PM

Actually, they have cancelled the remaining 4 episodes for this season. Hopefully, for rest of the cast and crew he will get his act together. It is one of the funniest shows on.

JuliaAnn 02/25/11 01:31 AM

I think if he doesn't get ahold of himself, he's going to be yet another celebrity found dead, naked, in a hotel room.

suzfromWi 02/25/11 06:53 AM

His star status has gone to his head. Along with some substances I cannot name. This show is a collaboration, not a one man show. Without the other actors it wouldn't be as good. Grow up Sheen! Think about someone else for a change!

Rockytopsis 02/25/11 07:28 AM

Show cancled? Good, should have done it after the first season. As you can tell not one of my faves.

OMG, listen to his radio interview on TMZ.com. He has lost it, I agree with the above post!

JanS 02/25/11 07:50 AM

He has a lot of nerve referring to the show's Chuck Lorre by a Jewish name....what's your real name, Charlie? Was it too ethnic for you?

MO_cows 02/25/11 08:23 AM

Too bad, he can't seem to define the line between Charlie Harper and Charlie Sheen. Feel sorry for the rest of the cast and especially his children. He does seem to be bent on self destruction.

Tricky Grama 02/25/11 08:23 AM

Enjoyed the show for many seasons, then it became tooooo graphically sexual, things-IMHO-that should not be insinuated on tv at that hour. So many oral sex inuendos-it was like they couldn't come up w/enuf. Then the DirtBag's antics, well... good riddance!

Wisconsin Ann 02/25/11 08:28 AM

I realize he's extremely gifted with the timing of his lines, and he ads "something" to the role...but without the straight man, his character has nothing to play off of in this show. SO...I'm wondering if they can't just write him out. His character is pretty 2 dimensional, really. You can predict what he'll respond to a given situation.

Perhaps something along the lines of "....goes off to a party, gets drunk, tries to drive home and smashes into a pole. The show does a couple of shows with everyone in mourning...except for the various old girlfriends who show up with new boyfriends and deliver some killer lines. .... they wait for the new caretaker of the boy to show up, and it turns out to be someone like the character from "stuff my father says". " They could even do a whole show with flashbacks.

At least that would keep everyone (except sheen) employed. AND they could get a "good citizen" award for doing a public service show on the dangers of driving drunk/high :)

I have NO sympathy for him. He's got immense talent which has been apparent from early on. Hopefully, he'll get his act together in his personal life before he ends up wrapped around a pole, or kills his next girlfriend.

Won't work, IMO.

If Sheen is a scumbag in real life, playing the perfect scumbag, on the show, is what helped make it a great comedy. The other two characters are great, but the "two-and-a-half", made a perfect group. The cynical houskeeper, put it over the top.

Too bad, that the cast, crew and TV viewers have to suffer, because another star, cannot keep it together.

The show will never be the same without him.

hmm. why not?:D He doesn't write the words. He doesn't create the hilarious situations. He delivers his lines. ...

Yes, he has a good way of delivering those lines. But the writers would still be there with their jokes. Charlie Sheen is not the only comedic actor out there, you know. Quite a few shows have lost actors (deaths, salary disputes, worn out) and the "it won't be the same" was yelled from the rooftops. but...the show goes on with a new character. The writers have something NEW to work with so they don't go back to the same jokes.

The name thing is interesting. His father is the one who took the stage name Sheen. charlie followed suit so he'd be known as his father's son. Emilio is the one who stuck with Estavez so that he WOULDN'T be known as "son of Martin Sheen". that said, I do agree that being derogatory about someone's name/religion/background is just plain wrong. but then, he doesn't have anyone around to curb his excesses. :(

suzfromWi 02/25/11 09:10 AM

All of the people on the show added a bunch. The moms relationship with them is priceless...The boy is getting to old to be funny I think.

Charlie may have wanted to capitalize on the Sheen reputation but he could have done that while keeping his Hispanic first name.

The way I see it he committed Suicide.

Let this be a lesson to all men.. arrogance (pride), when fed; becomes larger. This process does not stop until it brings you low, very low.

woodspirit 02/25/11 09:56 AM

Why don't they just get rid of him and call it two men? They don't need half a man anyway.

Male pride is one of the main reasons, we are no longer living in caves.

Didn't realize that women were devoid of any pride, which can get out of control, also.

Lindsay, Paris, etc., must just be mis-guided victims, as usual.

mnn2501 02/25/11 09:57 AM

Never saw the show.

SteveD(TX) 02/25/11 10:03 AM

I watch the show once in a while, and while it is funny, Sheen's personality sometimes comes through on screen.

The guy is an arrogant drugged out fool who will probably end up dead after a weekend of partying with his hooker(s) of the month. His latest rant shows what an idiot he is.

I doubt it. Charlie Sheen will grow out of it, and he's a money maker for a studio. As long as a studio things he make them money, they'll hire him.

Now Lindsay Lohan is a different story. She hasn't made anyone any money to speak of for a long time, and she's self-destructing on her own. I don't know how she'll ever make a comeback now. Britney Spears was able to do a comeback because she started producing music, but Lindsay needs a studio to take a chance on her. I don't see that happening.

WindowOrMirror 02/25/11 12:31 PM

I don't quite understand how "admonishing / warning / speaking to" one group of people is automatically assumed to additionally mean that any groups excluded have none of the characteristics of the admonishment to the first?

Of course women have issues with pride, but not in the same way most men do. Male issues come down to pride or selfishness, almost always, for the preponderance of men. Saying that does not mean that 100% of men are that way, just "most" and it does not mean that NO women can have those same characteristics.

Interesting points.

Is is possible, that in our current bizarre :run:"youtube world", that this was some sort of planned publicity stunt, to draw yet more attention to the show? The fact that Charlie is already an out-of-control jerk, is already gold for show publicity.

People are now talking about 2 1/2 men, a show many have never seen, yet it's been of the top rated TV shows, on a major network, for over 9 years.

Everybody loves a train-wreck, especially if there are bodies strewn about.

Bret 02/25/11 03:41 PM

I can take or leave the show and the actors but the singing makes me...gak.

Oggie 02/25/11 03:55 PM

I don't watch the show at all, so I'm puzzled.

Couldn't that have just hired another half a man to replace Sheen?

Jim-mi 02/25/11 05:26 PM

From the promo's of the show that I see while the "news" is on you couldn't pay me to watch that junk.
Charlie was on the Alex Jones show . . .Most interesting.
Perhaps if some of you nay sayers had heard that show you wouldn't be knocking him the way you are

Shame

Strange Bear 02/25/11 05:34 PM

They should just have Charlie take off to Thailand or somewhere and have Alan take over the lifestyle. It would be good for another season and then just end the show.

Just as Sheen plays the playboy jerk, perfectly, Jon Cryer, as Alan, plays the wimpy, insecure bother, to a tee.

It's Abbot and Costello, with a smart-mouthed teen boy, thrown in.

The show will be back, likely with Sheen. The show won't work any other way, IMO.

CBS does not want to give away their "family jewels" that easy. ;)

Would this be the same interview where he says he works/deals with fools and idiots and clowns...they can't process how good his life is..they look at their poor loser lives and [are jealous] of him? Or are you referring to the part where he goes really off the wall?

I'm knocking him BECAUSE OF the show. http://insidetv.ew.com/2011/02/24/ch...een-slams-men/

My favorite part is where he says he is better than everyone else because he cured himself of addiction in a nanosecond by mind power or whatever. Less than a month and he's positive he's cured. If it's so easy, why didn't it take the other times he was in rehab?

TJN66 02/25/11 07:18 PM

Grrr..I love this show. Its so funny...sad that because Charlie cant keep it together that many many people are going to be out of work.

mekasmom 02/25/11 08:47 PM

I saw part of it once. It seemed really nasty and dirty. I'm glad it was canceled. We don't need trash like that on TV.

Your TV has an off switch.

Why decide what everyone else needs to watch, or not watch on TV?

Jim-mi 02/25/11 09:14 PM

That is junk tv for the sheeple masses........

No more . .No less

YuccaFlatsRanch 02/25/11 10:10 PM

They should remake the movie "One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest" - Sheen wouldn't have to act.

Ross 02/26/11 06:43 AM

I see it like this. The star gets to thinking he's the boss and in charge so those in charge realize it's cut him off now and suffer whatever pain there is OR they'll have every star trying to take over every show. Besides I imagine Chuck Lorre has something in mind to take over for 2 1/2 men, besides Big Bang Theory.
