Neither this thread or the OP in the other thread were "trolling" Id like to find out what the varied people here think that cops should be doing with their time, that seems like a fairly neutral post to me. The simple facts of what people want their police dollar to go to.
I think there are EXTREAMLY few people that don't think we should have ANY cops so then for the rest of us we do HAVE things we want the cops to do.
We just disagree on what.
I like to get that out in the open...maybe we can find where we do agree?



LOL I may not like it but when they pay my wages they are certainly entitled to do so....even to require that I do it their way.
In fact if they pay my wages they are fully entitled to MAKE doing what they want MY JOB!

Yes it not that rare that someone actually doing a job doesn't know what they are actually doing, Their employers may have many hidden and unsaid agendas.

The point you're missing here is that we are merely TALKING. I am not down there directly telling anyone how to run their battalion or barracks. If I don't like the way the police, or any other public servant, spend their time on the clock, using money that I have helped provide, it is indeed my right to complain here, in the letters to the editor, with my vote, or however I feel it might do the most good.

And the same might be said of the police, military, etc. Questioning how they use their time is part of being informed and holding them accountable.

As far as I know this is an open forum. If a person wants only those who agree with them to post maybe they are in the wrong place.
Maybe talking to themselves might work out a little better for them.

We're a microcosm of the rest of the US. Do you realy expect anything less? Stick to topic? sheesh.

There's such thread drift on some, it's not even worth posting.

Asking other people questions isn't guaranteed to get the question answered, since other people decide what they will do.
To answer the question about what language do we speak, that depends on who you ask. Many Americans claim we speak English, but the English claim we speak American. Jeff Foxworthy(and others) claim we speak many different languages, like Redneck, Surfer Dude, etc.
