And what about the 4th?? Have we heard ANY birds deaths at that time?
Seems to me that IF fireworks were doing any of this then on the 4th when the entire country has fireworks going on, and many big cities 10 different displays going on at the same time. No one hears about birds just dropping out of the sky then.

No one has claimed the fireworks KILLED them, but only forced them off their roosts.
And as a general rule, these birds are not in huge flocks in July

Sure has been in several reports. That was one of the first things that was being reported is that the explosions, (the concussions from the explosions) were killing them

It doesn't say the fireworks killed the birds, but merely got them into the air, as I stated before

the fireworks theory seems odd given the dates and widespread scope of it...just sayin...most fireowrks would have been on the 1st....and how does fireworks kill the fish admittedly they could be unrelated but the timing and coincidence seems mighty strange....I am just saying I would leap to buy the scientists supposed answer just yet...NL has a good Point and it could be indicative of the New madrid fault and others going siesmic...that would be a huge mess if the NM goes.....lots of Populations centers on its line....the last time it went it cause the mississippi to flow backwards and did bad things to this area.....

The fish kill has nothing to do with the birds

There's been no evidence of earthquake activity in the US bird deaths nor the fish kills

They shoot fireworks at roosts here. We have a massive crow problem in the winter and they have tried all kinds of things to get rid of them. The latest is firing rockets into the trees.
It doesn't work and we don't have dead birds. They just fly up, poop and settle back again.

I guess that means you didn't feel the earthquake you had right there in North Carolina on January 2nd?
Bear, there are swarms of earthquakes happening all over - just because you don't feel it or hear it doesn't mean it isn't happening or that there's no evidence of it. That 3.8 in Indiana on Dec. 30th was accompanied by a very loud boom. Oklahoma had an earthquake yesterday, Utah has been getting them for the past 2 days, California and Alaska get them every day. All the kills in South America coincided with major earthquakes there. It shouldn't be pooh poohed and disregarded as a possibility.

They could have gotten caught up in a tornado and tossed to the area they dropped in...visualize them spinning around and hitting each other then being spit out....Im just sayin....

They used to spray them with water containing a detergent to break down the oils which keep the water off their skin which would cause them to freeze to death. Killed them by the hundreds if not thousands. FYI, their poop carries a nasty disease and thousands of birds roosting in one area for weeks means a lot of poop.
They cut down a "memorial" tree garden planted in remembrance of the 284 troopers killed in the Gander Newfoundland air crash one time "due to contamination".

No, I didn't feel the 2.5 quake nearly 300 miles away.
And none of the dead birds were killed by earthquakes, because any shock wave strong enough to cause deadly trauma to birds would be felt by all other lifeforms too
Maybe you can show us some hard evidence of earthquakes causing deaths from "sonic booms" rather than just repeating the theory?

No one has commented on the link of dozens of dead birds in Sweden?
They also died due to "Sudden hard blows"
http://www.cnn.com/2011/WORLD/europe...ntent=My+Yahoo
Also just this morning on the news, there are 2 million dead fish in Maryland. This is a little creepy, yeah

I don't think they are all that uncommon. Like most things, the news media locks onto a subject for a few days and plays it hard until something else grabs their attention. Weather does some strange things, especially at higher altitudes, that we do not see on the ground. Clashes of warm/cold air masses can cause violent updrafts and such. What happens to a flock of birds flying in a warm air mass that are suddenly caught in an updraft and and lifted perhaps thousands of feet into an air mass cold enough to freeze them solid? Temperature changes can also fool birds into flocking together thinking it is getting time to migrate. I see it here all the time in winter when it warms up for a couple days.

I'm pretty sure both of those were mentioned on at least one of these threads, unless there is a NEW fish kill in MD

I know the sweden one was and no one commented on it, the fish kill I think just happened today, 2 million fish, not that I know how they count dead fish

They estimate based on the size of the area and the density of the school
Some of these reports go back to the 3rd, so it seems to be the same one
