what about all the carbon locked up in the crowded unhealthy buggy trees from a hundred years of suppressing forest fire? all waiting to go up in smoke?

they "could" be thinned and go fuel 99.99% emission free power plants(and provide jobs), but the environmentalists think what is actually an UN-healthy forest is that way it should be. More man being control freak on nature.

I agree, i do not see much reason for an uproar over a few degrees...but then again, I dont live anywhere near the ocean. The idea that mankind, in our billions, is influencing the climate is INFERRED from the data we have collected, PLUS our knowledge of atmospheric and chemical sciences. Apparently some prefer to IGNORE such data, in favor of saying, 'well, its happened before, therefore I have no responsibility for my actions'. Of course its been warmer in the past, the earth formed from a molten blob of rock!
Just because the climate has warmed in the past, before civilization, has absolutely NO relevance to whether or not mankind has a role in affecting the climate.

And then there is that "hockey Graph" And after was said and done, even Al Gore said the graph was a exaggeration~! Yes that is correct, Al Gore said this himself, it was exaggerated for "dramatic effect" He should really give the trophy back.

The damage has been done, and folks that believe in GW will not be deterred by a little thing like the Head Cheerleader of the cause admitting the numbers were skewed. They will continue to battle with flawed data and accuse US of being the mistaken ones. This is why I have always said, if Obama himself admitted he wasn't born in the US, no one would believe him.

WHen GW occurred in the past, it DID deter the mammoths and dinosaurs from driving as much. They took public transportation, stopped using aerosol hair/scale spray, and rode gigantic bicylces everywhere. That stopped the cycle...for a while.

It's a politically/economically motivated inference.

The vast majority of the "evidence" is from the last 100 years.

It's too small a sample to make a conclusion
