I agree, i do not see much reason for an uproar over a few degrees...but then again, I dont live anywhere near the ocean. The idea that mankind, in our billions, is influencing the climate is INFERRED from the data we have collected, PLUS our knowledge of atmospheric and chemical sciences. Apparently some prefer to IGNORE such data, in favor of saying, 'well, its happened before, therefore I have no responsibility for my actions'. Of course its been warmer in the past, the earth formed from a molten blob of rock!
Just because the climate has warmed in the past, before civilization, has absolutely NO relevance to whether or not mankind has a role in affecting the climate.
