Guess everyone has forgotten when she preached against the beef industry.
Ask a few farmers who had to sell some cows during that time what they think about oprah.

I met my best friend in college. We were like frick and frack. If you wanted to find one of us, all you had to do was find the other.

Our last summer at college we took a roadtrip to NYC with a couple of guys from her apartment building. On the way there, they confessed that they thought we were a lesbian couple because we were always together.

Could it be that men don't understand female friendships and how close they can be? Do they need to insert something sexual in order to help them understand?

The truely amazing thing is, that ANYONE on planet earth, beleived that this interview and Oprah's emotions, were REAL!.

Is it just coincindence, that this very tearful, insightful interview (all about Oprah, of course) , comes just as Oprah is pushing her new TV network?

Is Oprah that dumb, that she did not preview EXACTLY what questions Walters was going to ask her? Did she really have to take the dramatic pause and then bring on the "tears", when asked if she was Gay?

If it's one thing that Oprah is the absolute master of, it's grabbing the emotions of the viewing audience and using it for her advantage.

Bravo, Oprah.

That's probably the reason I don't watch Oprah.

That is the reason many people won't watch her.
Over the years she has chosen different businesses to destroy for ratings.
Some people agree with her. Some wouldn't be caught in the same building as her. I am one of those.

Really? When was the last time you watched her program? She has had many episodes that consist of going on about how abusive men are to their spice..... or would that be spouses? I would ask you to cite an example of one episode where she played the flip side of that coin or has ever mentioned anything about women abusing their husbands?

When you're doing a show that mostly women watch with mostly women in the audience, it makes sense that you would cover topics of interest to women. When she does a show on wife abuse it's not "oh, men are mean". She has the wives on stage, she has the husbands on stage admitting what they have done and what they are doing to change or whether they think they need to. So if the men are there admitting they are abusers, how is that bashing? And as I posted earlier, Oprah herself doesn't attack, she might ask the hard questions but she does stay personally neutral.

ahhh yep, I have watched her shows, and listen to them from a mans point of view.... she is about as fair and balanced with her sexist attitudes as is MSNBC fair and balanced towards the right. Even her hiring policies within HARPO inc demonstrates her bias towards women.... with less than forty percent of her staff being men. One program dedicated to spouse abuse toward men..... hundreds dedicated to abusive husbands??? Think about it. Her views come forward equally well on the view.... the woman doesnt like men, and she lets it be known. Does that mean shes a lesbian? No, of course not, but lets be fair about it, she does not present her attitude toward the male of the species in a very promising light. Try watching her sometime with an open mind, and watch for the slams and little digs toward the male side of the world.

Ah well, I knew I was wasting my time. I ask for concrete examples, you can't give any. You ask for "one", I give it, you say one isn't enough.

I've watched plenty of her shows and haven't seen what you've "seen". Just want to point out one last thing, using your own example of wife abusers....if the man goes on national TV and admits he beats his wife, referring to him an abuser isn't "man-bashing"....it's the truth.

Ya know, with tending the goats, my business, and taking care of family, I don't have time to watch TV during the day.

Why does anyone care about that woman? Has she worked on your farm? Is she related to you? Do you know here second cousin twice removed?

Its quite true that if a man claims he beats his wife undeservedly, and happens to do so on her show, thats not men bashing. However, I believe that if you air 40 shows, presenting women claiming their husbands beat them, and one show that is based on women abusing their husbands that is a wee bit biased. On top of just the basic numbers, the shows predominately are skewed to present the women as helpless creatures being manipulated and abused by men in general... tending to produce the affect that most men are monsters in the minds of women. As far as you not "seeing" what I have seen....... I wouldnt expect you to, women seldom see things the way men do. A phenomenon that leads to many of the arguments that lead to some men actually beating their wives.
These words spoken by Oprah herself on one of her shows pretty well sums up her overall attitude displayed over the years " if a man hits you once he will hit you again. I don't care what his plea is”.
